That would fall under ring work, this is for acting in promos and such. Therefore, does Orton feel like a stone cold, heartless, killer when he cuts a promo in the ring? For me its a no because while he is supposed to be a ruthless heel, Kozlov Knox, and son on show being uncaring the same way as Orton. He has to do something else than stare off into space, with no facial expression, to get my attention.
Not ring performer, but actor. Who do you think is the best actor in wwe today? The guy you see sell best, cut the best promos, face expressions, and so on. Who make it seem most real to you.
I think that explains my choice for noting how Orton sells a move in ring. Also, Orton's promo's are the best in WWE right now (or were when I had the access to the TV shows, hahaha).
Selling a move relates to acting, imo. You're ACTING like it hurts when it reality it doesn't.

If Orton leaps into the air for the RKO, but the other wrestler doesnt fall down with Oton, then Randy falls on his ass and looks like an ass in the process. If this happens on a match by match basis, then Orton is going to come off as a horrible wrestler. Thus selling moves is part of a wrestlers ring work!
But acting is part of fing work full stop. That's just how it works. Orton is still a better talker in my opinion than anyone in WWE right now, whether we're including the "acting hurting" or "selling" in the ring or not. I am because I see that as part of the question originally posed.
At the end of the day NeX, it's personal preference... I mean some people (who've taken too many knocks to the head) think John Morrison can act. Bahahahaha!!
