I personally don't see much. Sure he has the look and can wrestle fairly decently, but I also see another faceless, nameless guy that they will not push for a while to come. If they really saw something in him, they likely would have given him a nicer push out the gate.
I'm not saying it's not possible, just that the WWE is probably just not that high on him therefore a lack of push and interest all around could give him the pink slip just as easily as a push could come. Too early to tell basically is what I am trying to say.
What's wrong with his push? Just because he didn't 'go undefeated' like everybody else doesn't make it bad. He looked good against Batista on his debut which in my opinion is more impressive than squashing some no-name jobber. Since then he has got a couple of wins and looked pretty good. They spent quite a while hyping his first match, just by having him introduce himself to anybody and everybody, and if they really wern't high on him, why would they have brought him back after getting suspended and still given him something of a push? They could have postponed his debut for months after that.
I like him. I agree that the gimmick will get old soon, but he has a good look and seems to be quite talented. As for the point about Kenny, I believe he was released for his attitude more than anything, but I may be wrong. Ziggler could easily be a good upper midcarder, but yeah, it is too early.

I don't think he will amount to much. Like Tyler said they are playing the cards of a comedy character which gets people over with the fans, but doesn't necessarily help you become "big". I would like to see him get high in the ranks, he has the look and he has decent wrestling. He will most likely win a little then be a time filler.

What irritates me these days is the amount of effort, or lack thereof, that WWE put into new characters. I mean what is Dolph Ziggler's gimmick, other than his name is Dolph Ziggler?
They've just sent this guy out there, with a name and a look and it's sink or swim for him of his own back, but the writers don't seem to be doing anything to evolve him in the audiences conscienceness.
I thought he was supposed to be some sort of nerd with a vicious streak. I'm shocked that he can get mic time almost every week, all be it short, and someone like Punk gets nothing.
