Kane's retirement has been floating around for a couple of years. Mostly because the characters stale now and Jacobs has saved enough moeny to not need to wrestle at all anymore. It's never been acknowledged by anyone at WWE or Kane at all though.
I have always liked Kane but with these constant feuds that never lead to anything his character is getting really boring. Kane hasn't really won a big match purely in ages. The other problem besides losing is his poorly written scripts. Usually his lines don't make much sense and are make him loose like an ass which is a shame.
Well now, what should be done in my opinion? First I would love to see his old attitude back. I don't really care if he really has a mask or not, but it was fun too see the real machine-like Kane at work. I remember when he would just stood and watch the other guy when he tried to punch the heck out of him. We saw a flash of the past in the last Wrestlemania when Kane beat Chavo in few seconds. I remember laughing when that happened.
I guess this attitude change could be made by some fancy resurrectional ritual including Taker (whatever that means To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ). The other thing that should be done is not to make him always say those stupid psycho lines that make no sense. Maybe someone could tape his mouth shut or something? Maybe they could include him in a car accident where he hurts his lips and can't talk anymore! Wouldn't that be brilliant?
Kane has been criminally underused for a long while. He gets over pretty well anytime the WWE starts using him correctly and then whatever feud he's in just fizzles out and he gets stuck in lower-midcard limbo again. Too bad, because when he's on, he's on.
I was really sad to see the Rey Mysterio angle fade into nothing. It only resulted in a few average matches, almost all of them television matches. What was the point?

I see nothing in the big red machine anymore. He has been turned and turned back so many frikking times (like with Big Show) that nothing he ever does surprises me or makes me want to see more of him anymore.
The very final chance they had to do anything at all with him, other than have him as a freaky stepping stone for main eventers, was when he went all "monster" again years ago and burned Jim Ross and tombstoned (I think) Linda McMahon. But that died a death as soon as he was given Shane O'Mac to feud with and Shane came off looking more than competitive against him.

If I remember correctly, would that be the infamous "electrocution via car battery on the gentials" meeting they had?
That was part of the feud. And yes, Kane won both their big matches. But frankly they were long ass matches where Shane was on the offence too much and getting in way more than just "hope" spots. No way should a part time performer be on any kind of level footing with a guy they are trying to get over as a monster heel like that.
