What do you think is the WWEs match of the year from January 1st to now. Hardy v HHH?,Edge v Taker TLC, HIAC, HBK v Jericho Ladder match, HBK v Flair, or any others??
Flair vs HBK is the only wwe match this year that I'd have in my top 5. Loved that match beyond belief. Not just the emotion of it, but the story telling, HBK's effort, all the little nods to Flair's career, the finish and the psycology just made it one of my favourite wwe matches in years. As far as pure emotion, nothing even comes close to it. Hell, outside of that maybe Edge/Taker from Wrestlemania also there's not really been that many matches this year I'd say are MOTY worthy from the 'E.

For my money, Undertaker/Edge HIAC @ SS. The finish just dripped with cheesiness, with Edge being sent to hell and all, but the 20 minutes prior were pretty win. It was basically Taker's specialty match and Edge's specialty match all in one, because it essentially became a TLC match inside a Cell. Plus, it was the blow-off match to one hell of a feud.

Taker V Edge:Best way to end what had been a great feud and arguably the fued of the year. It looked good on paper and delivered. great match
Flair V HBK - Main reason i loved this match was because of the emotion around it. I mean as soon as Vince came out and told Flair that if he loses one more match then he's fired i knew he was going to bow out at Mania. Still both men put on a great memorable match with one of the most memorable mania moments in history.

I absolutely loved this match. I fought that they both put in a fantastic effort and both worked together brilliantly to make a great match. Good use of weapons, not over the top weapons fest, but a nice addition. Great ending as well.
I'm probably going to get heat for this, but I hated Flair vs HBK. Besides the obvious pure emotion, it was a pretty boring match except for the ending.

I was starting to think I was the only one who enjoyed the Hell in a Cell match. I found most of it pretty great, but the lack of blood did take away from the match. Fairly sure WWE have banned blading, which is a shame because it makes the product seem more watered down and takes away a great tool to add drama to a feud. Oh well. Some of the spots in that match were very entertaining and it was cool to see them leave the cell. I liked the way they played off previous encounters with Taker using Edge's moves, the use of the camera etc. Good stuff.
Obviously Flair vs Michaels is match of the year, but should it even count? It was more about the occasion than the match, which almost makes it unfair to classify as the best match. The match itself was great too of course, but you know what I mean.
