Besides Tenay and West, the worst team has to go to JR and Taz. It might just be me, but I for one never found Michael Cole to be all that bad. King well he needs to be the old King that was very for the heels. Together, while it is not JR and King, it works. My favorite announcing team is Grisham and Striker, too young guys and Striker is so full of himself. But Taz and JR, its just bad.
They're styles clash. JR works his quiet play by play rarely getting over excited(well ever since stone cold left). Taz sounds overly excited. It just dosent fit. Due to the Mick Foley incident, the worst move of the draft has finally remanifested itself again. The sooner order is restored to the announcing booths the better

I agree with Crock, Tazz has given JR a new lease of life by keeping him "sharp". King has only ever sounded good next to JR and to me is a bit of a waste now. I think JBL did a great job on colour and will probably end up back there soon, PBP is damn hard to call, as much as people love to "hate" on Cole there are not many better at present.
I really want to see cole & Taz again, they are awesome together, and King & JR is great, especially when King kisses the arses of the heels and JR kisses the arses of the faces.

The thing with Cole is that he has gone downhill, he had a decent run with Tazz then JBL carried him and since then he has gone downhill, he has been doing the job for 10 years now he should be better than he is, even Todd Grisham is better.
I really want to see cole & Taz again, they are awesome together, and King & JR is great, especially when King kisses the arses of the heels and JR kisses the arses of the faces.
King has been terrible since he returned in 2001, he phones it in these days
Yeah, Attitude King is what I want to see, he's sucked big time ever since.

I've always liked Taz on commentary, he's a really good colour commentator in my eyes. And I grew up listening to JR, so I'm partial to liking him. I think the two mix well as a duo from what I have seen, my only problem is sometimes JR sounds really patronising and condescending to Taz. Like, he'll just repeat the exact same thing as does Taz does and say something like "you've really done your homework!"

I don't watch smackdown as much as I used to but when I do I enjoy Tazz and J.R.'s commentary.
But imo they never should have switched the announcers around to begin with.
And on a side note, I can't understand why people praise JBL's commentary work and hate Don West, all JBL did was either talk about how great he was or complained about everything and scream at cole.
I watch TNA every week and I enjoy Tenay and West on commentary (although it might be interesting to have a heel commentater too) and I will never understand why Don West catches so much crap from people.
Its just like TNA as a whole, some people will say how much it sucks and always point out all the negatives and even insult fans like myself because we watch it.
Tenay and West are good, they're not on the same level as JR/King but still very good.
