In what order would you have for him as challengers for the title? Apparently he's going to be a big babyface character, which I think will work for him (sorry DK).

I've changed my mind on Orton. While I think he's more than deserving of a solid run at the top and is a great heel, I don't think Angle should be taken off the top of the mountain that soon. If Batista was still champ, then I would have given the title to Orton..


So here's what I do..

@Royal Rumble 2006

Kurt vs. Mark Henry (Stetcher Match)
- Sorry it's the best I can come up with on short notice. They have the Rumble on the card anyway. Mark and Angle are both former olmpians and they have the most current history.

@No Way Out 2006

Kurt and Undertaker vs. Lashley and Randy Orton
- I'd have something else be the main event. It's no secret that I want Lashley turned heel on the Taker and this would be a way to furthur the two feuds without there being much contact between the guys who fight at Mania.

@Wrestlemania 22

Kurt vs. Randy Orton
- Orton gives it all he has but falls short much like he did with Taker last year. Orton looks strong in defeat and picks up the receipt at a later date.

@Judjment Day 2006

Kurt vs. Chris Benoit (60 Minute Iron Man Match)
- One more classic between these two before they retire. Kurt retains in what the boys in the back call "The Hour"

@The Great American Bash 2006

Kurt vs. JBL
- Time for these two to lock horns. They seem to have decent chemistry with each other and the promos would be cool. Kurt pulls a good match out of JBL and retains.

@ SummerSlam 2006

Kurt vs. Randy Orton (No Holds Barred)
- Orton comes back and gets the win that alluded him at Wrestlemania 22. The Orton era begins on SD!

Royal Rumble

Mark Henry purely as it has a history I can use (Olympics etc), it's only a feud that has to last a week or two. It doesn't take attention away from the Rumble match.

No Way Out

Against Chris Benoit in a one hour iron man match. I can't really think of how I'd get there yet, but I'd try and base this one around respect. Angle seems to be going face now with his turn on Daivari, so I'd probably look for him to have a couple of skits backstage with Benoit....just run into him and make it clear the two have unfinished business but deep down hold a lot of respect for each other.

Have Orton win the Rumble and then have him attack Angle just before No Way Out saying he doesn't want to wait for his shot to Mania he wants it now.....Benoit makes the save (are they becoming friends?). Teddy Long sets up a fatal four way on Smackdown featuring Benoit, Orton, JBL and Rey Rey. Orton looks like he's going to win (via cheating) but Angle runs in and takes out Orton giving Benoit the pin (not on Orton, you can't damage him close to Mania)...on JBL.

Benoit and Angle have a respectful showdown the next week in the ring, and agree they can only settle their long term rivalry in a one hour iron man match. Orton is pissed and interferes during the match, but both guys kick his ass out. Angle gets the win (3-2 or something), match will be awesome, handshakes at the end, then Orton takes both men out and we're off to Mania for

W'Mania

Angle versus Orton. I would probably have Angle retain here since I don't like too many changes too quick, but the feud would continue and at the next Smackdown PPV I'd have Orton gain the title.

This is the most logic match up. Angle vs Henry. Of course Angle retains by pinning Big Mark Henry.

I hate to see the Title change hands so fast and I would like for Angle to retain at Mania. My choice for The Royal Rumble was always Orton, but if he cant win the Title at Mania, then I would like to choose someone else to do the job. So my choice for winner of the Royal Rumble would be.....ROB VAN DAM. I pick Rob cause no1 would expect it and it would be nice for once to have a shocker. He would then challenge Kurt and go back to SD!

I always like to see tag team matches involving the two competitors facing each other right before a big ppv.

Here I would have Kurt and Van Dam fave Lashley and JBL. Lashley turns heal and aligns himself with JBL. They would make a great pair. In this match have Rob and Angle get into a disagreement or something.

I would have Orton win the Title at around SummerSlam as well.

Ok, so it looks like everyone agrees on Henry/Angle for the Royal Rumble.

I would really prefer to see Angle squash the piss out of Henry and just be done with him. Mark Henry just looks like a sloopy, sweaty mess out there. As far as I am concerned Henry is a liability in that ring.

Ok, back to Angle.

I really liked Brandons proposals. There were many things that worked there.


I would like to see JBL get in there and attempt to get the title back from Angle trying to play the "Hero of Smackdown" now. It would essentially go against his turning his back on Rey Mysterio back before SS. This would draw heel heat on JBL and give Angle the face boost he needs.

People are probably a little confused right now. Should they be cheering Angle? Booing him? I know and you know that Vince wants us cheering him, but the casual fan needs a little help sometimes.

Feed him someone everyone dislikes and can afford a clean loss. JBL. After that go with maybe even Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Imagine the unbeaten streak up against the title? What would they do?

There are tons of things they could do with this Angle title run. They are essentially swapping Angle for Batista, so theoretically they could just use whatever they had planned with Batista.
