I think the Deadman bit comes from the saying You cant kill a deadman. When taker debuted he was almost impossible to beat.

hhahha yeah. I was pissed too....I just can't wait for this weeks SD to see what comes of it. He better get it back, but with Vickie and Edge being an item, she will do everything in her power to make sure he holds the title. BTW, I just saw the wwe revenge tour, it was awesome, everyone was there except taker

I completely disagree that Taker is retiring anytime soon. To be honest, he is in the best shape of his entire wrestling career. I double checked his age and he is only 43. Thats nothing these days. One can only hope that his hip (replaced) holds up as well as his back and knees. The limited schedule (which he COMPLETELY deserves) serves a few purposes.....

1. He becomes more of an enigma which is really what he is supposed to be in the first place if he just appears from time to time.

2. Any heel needs a program and they can bring Taker back out of the woodworks.

3. He extends his career.

Taker and Shawn Michaels CARRIED the WWE through 90's when WCW was stomping the piss out of them and all their wrestlers were leaving for WCW and guys like Rock and Austin weren't developed yet. Both men deserve limited schedules at this point. House shows should be out of the question.

I also think that if he WERE going to retire (which he isn't) that he would be showcased on Raw and not Smackdown.

I don't think he is actually supposed to be dead, I think the term "the deadman" comes from the fact that he came back after being buried alive. Doesn't mean he is dead, just means that he escaped.

You Know When You Think About It why Does Everytime Taker Wins The Title It's Always A Short Run?

because the writing team is idiots, screwing over one of the best ever and what i think the best today makes me mad he cant have a 1 year tital run and some guy like cena does i think he needs to always be undefeated at mania and have a big run as champ just 1 time but i doubt itll happen

I dont think he went the full way like Hogan and had his hip replaced, although he did have surgery on it.

Also I think Taker volountered for a full time schedule last year for his title run(then he got injured)
