The Tag Team Division!

They've actually bought some teams together that, with longevity, decent angles, tv time and not just being squashed by singles performers or having creative get bored with them after a few weeks could have made up a pretty good division.

With patience we could have still had -

Worlds Greatest Tag Team - Benjamin & Haas were split far too early, they should have been a team for 3/4 years (like E&C) before a split came about.

The Bashams - With time their gimmick could have worked, with Linda Miles as their manager. I think they had a good look, but being squashed every week by the APA didn't help them. Doug Basham in particular is a hell of a talent (those that have/do watch OVW will know what I mean)

The Dicks - I've heard they suck but I'll include them just....well because I don't know!!

Cade & Murdoch - Came in with a gimmick, got promos, got the title, within a few months they're gone with no explanation (decent one anyway) into singles. Brilliant.

Mexicools - Keep the love of KJay's life (Juve) in singles for now, Crazy & Psicosis can make a heck of a tag team. Plus I like three way teams since, if one member gets injured it's easy to keep the team on screen by switching the other guy in.

M-N-M - Well creative are doing all they can to ruin it, but these guys are good on the mic (again only in OVW), have a believably excellent manager and are also good stunt wrestlers in the ring to boot.

Heart Throbs - Oh yes we can all laugh, but had this team been allowed to come in as definitive homosexuals, instead of the watered down for TV team they are now, they could have gotten some heat going. Plus squashing them in handicaps each week has finished them.

LaResistance - Conway is too good for this, but Rene and Sylvain should be reunited. Rene is someone I like quite a lot as a performer and with his age and size he has a good "upside" (TM - JR). Another team that was split too soon but badly used when together.

That's an 8 team tag division right there (leaving alone the fact that I wouldn't have released The Dudleys, particularly as I thought there was huge mileage to be had in their feuding with M-N-M.....Melina through a table!!) and had they been protected as tag teams and not just used as jobbers for singles performers the division would have been good.

The fact of the matter is though that with a roster of just around 30 on each show and with say three or four of those benched at any time, the tag teams have to be the jobbers. Vince obviously doesn't see any money in a tag division and views it now in the same way as he does the Cruiser division.
