A New Wwe Signing!

It has just been confirmed that World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Charles Scaggs, who is best known as 2 Cold Scorpio. It looks like Scaggs will be around for the long haul as the contract is a three year deal. There is no word yet on what brand he will be on.

Scaggs, 41, had a tryout match with Rene Dupree a few weeks ago prior to a Smackdown/ECW taping. WWE officials were said to have been impressed with his work in the match. Also, World Champion King Booker was pushing for WWE to sign him. However, there were some concerns regarding his weight (he's gained a few pounds) and potential drug issues due to his reputation. WWE released Skaggs in early 1999 for testing positive for marijuana.

Scorpio had been wrestling in Japan in recent years, more specifically, Pro Wrestling NOAH. Also, he had been living in Germany, but he's just moved back to the States as he now lives in Florida. As of late, Scorpio had been wrestling for a number of indy wrestling promotions including IWA Mid-South and Pro Wrestling Unplugged.

....I really see no point why WWE is doing this, hes fuckin 41 years old, Its like there trying to run a senior show over there. Bad move IMO

i think this is actually a great move 2 cold is pretty well established he can get into a feud and just put over the kid hes fueding with thats the whole point of finlay hes there right now to put on good matches and to put over younger guys

Well, From what I understand he is still a good wrestler, will most likley be a jobber, and has some ECW history which always helps if he went and jobbed there. But unfortunatly as you said, HES 4Fucking1 WWE needs to sign new stars not old out of shape wanna be stars who never made it!



Sorry an anger outburst. But as Suffy said, he can perform good matches and put over young talent.

There's nothing wrong with this signing, as pointed out above it is starting to get a bit worrying that the wwe has been signing alot of oldish talent as of late but Scorpio is no Hacksaw Jim Duggan, he's a decent worker.

Your immediate guess, if the WWE doesnt really care dearly about the man, would be to see him ending up in ECW. That wouldnt exactly be a bad move for someone who has had "health" problems in the past as the wwe can keep a closer eye on him if his workload isnt that drastic.

But yeah, the signing is a positive.

For me this signing is an example of WWE trying to use older vast experienced stars to help bring in and mold the new stars, he will most likely feud with a new superstar on SD or ECW etc Good sgining for both parties

2 Cold Scorpio is said to be in his first match next month some time for the WWE using 'the godfather' gimmick, thewrestlingasnwer.com its there somewhere if you want the whole story.

i like scorpio...he's a good worker. if he can come in and put over a few of the younger guys, he'll be considered a good signing.
