Four New WWE Signings!

WWE has just announced that three wrestling stars from the past will be returning to the company. Those three individuals are Brad Armstrong, Rodney Mack and Marty Jannetty.

As previously reported, Brad Armstrong, 45, was recently signed to a WWE contract. He will appearing on the ECW brand. He probably won't be appearing on television much, he'll mostly be utilized at ECW house shows in an effort to put over talent. Brad Armstrong is the final Armstrong brother to make it to WWE. His brother Brian had a memorable stint as "The Road Dogg Jesse James" for several years. His brother Scott is currently a referee for the ECW brand. Also, his brother Scott had a short-lived stint as a pseudo WWF Superstar as "Lance Cassidy" in 1992.

Rodney Mack, 32, was released by WWE in November 2004 along with a slew of other stars, including his wife Carlene "Jazz" Moore-Begnaud. Mack has kept busy by wrestling on the independent circuit the past two years. Jazz is currently on the ECW brand, although she's been used sparingly thus far. She appeared on the WWE vs. ECW Head To Head special in a match with Mickie James back in June, and she also did a run-in during a Francine/Kelly bikini contest at a house show about one month ago. Also, it is not known at the moment as to what brand Mack will be appearing on.

Marty Jannetty, 43, will be getting yet another shot at the big stage, his third in less than two years. This will be his record-breaking 8th stint with the company. He was let go by WWE in 1988, early 1992, early 1993, early 1994, late 1996, summer 2005, and March 2006. Back in March, WWE announced that they had broken all professional ties with Jannetty. Apparently, Jannetty was unable to attend a Monday Night RAW event in Birmingham, Alabama due to travel difficulties caused by Jannetty's probation status. For the past few months, Marty vowed on his MySpace page that he would be returning to WWE as soon as he got his life in order, and it looks he has.

Here is the official announcement regarding these three signings from WWE.com:

Three veterans return to WWE
September 15, 2006

WWE will be utilizing three ring veterans to help younger talent develop their skills in the ring.

Rodney Mack, Marty Jannetty and Brad Armstrong have been chosen to work with WWE over the next several months. In addition to working with the younger talent, Mack, Jannetty and Armstrong may also have the opportunity to join WWE fulltime, according to officials.

In a seperate statement on the company website, WWE has just announced that they have signed Henry O. Godwinn, 42, to a contract. Godwinn will be making his return to the company after an eight year absence.

Godwinn appeared on a swing of WWE shows last week in three tryout matches. He defeated Gregory Helms at a Smackdown brand house show, Eric Perez in a dark match prior to the 9/4 RAW, and Bull Buchanan before the 9/5 Smackdown taping.

Here is the official announcement, courtesy of WWE.com:

Godwinn re-signs

please tell why you would sign people like Jannetty,Armstrong and Godwinn?
All in there 40's, i have watched a lot of Jannetty matches on DVD and TBH i think he sucks, the rockers were never that good, If you watch there match at WM VII i think or WM VIII HBK carries him the whole match.
The other two as bon said and Rodney Mack i just don't like. It always seemed like he was a perry stain rip off.

Very poor, I have no idea what the wwe see in resigning old guys like Jim Duggan ect, makes for poor wrestling and overall just painful television.
