The Rock Gone For Good? Correction, Dwayne Johnson Gone For Good!

According to some new interviews promoting "Gridiron Gang" in various media outlets, Dwayne Johnson has stated that he intends on dropping "The Rock" nickname with the release of "Southland Tales" to help differentiate his acting career from his pro wrestling career.

Speaking of Johnson, he appeared on ESPN 2's "Cold Pizza" program this morning. When asked what it would take for him to return to pro wrestling, he stated that he has no plans on returning and that he accomplished all he wanted in wrestling. Johnson said he loved the business and grew up in it, but realized four years ago that it was time to move on.

It should also be noted that Rock was in New York City on Monday promoting his new movie when WWE was at Madison Square Garden. Some have said that could be a telling sign of his current WWE status.

This is infact now untrue, according to Rajah.com, they have posted a rumour breaker stating this was infact untrue.

yes,rock said that that is just a rumour and that he loves being called the rock and that he is not dropping it

Not really, as it can still create discussion of some sort, it was drifting away anyway until someone brought it back.

i have never liked the rock as a wrestler. i think he is a better actor. whenever he came on for a match i would get sick and walk out of the room lol so IMO Rock stick to movies please:se:

Jody you cant be serious. He was the most electifying man in all of sports entertainment lol The Rock was a great wrestler and an awesome superstar, all his feuds were top notch and the WWE could really dow ith someone of his talent right now

Ya how can you say that? Whenever the Rock came out the fans went nuts, He was one of the best in the biz imo. His feuds were classic, All of his matches were of the chart. He put people over unlike hogan, Greatest wrestler imo.

Your a John Cena fan jodes, you dont get to vote lol. I can understand where shes coming from, but again, he was a much better wrestler than cena is and was more electric with maybe a better personality and was the man who invented live promos. He was a legend and wrestling will never be the same or be the same today without him.
