Sean Mooney welcomes us to the first RAW edition, until Bobby Heenan comes into the picture, Mooney tells Heenan he has been replaced by some comedian, argument ensues.

Vince welcomes us tonight, along with Randy Savage and Rob Bartlett. Bartlett screws up Yokozuna’s name.

Yokozuna defeated Koko B. Ware in 3:45 via pin fall after the Bonzai Drop. DUD

Koko didn’t even stand a chance. As you would expect. The push of the 505lbs Yokozuna continues.

Commercials

We go to Bobby Heenan, via a video tape. The video is directed towards Mr. Perfect. Heenan is putting over “The Narcissist�. Apparently the wrestler in question is the only person who can be perfect in this world. The Narcissist will be debuting at the Royal Rumble.

Steiner Brothers defeated The Executioners in 3:00 via pin fall after a top rope bulldog by Rick. ½ *

You can see during this contest, a clown in the crowd, Doink the Clown. He appears to be pulling pranks and really being annoying in the crowd throughout the contest.

The moves the Steiner’s do, are so crisp that this is one enjoyable squash match.

Steiner Brothers will be facing the Beverly Brothers at the Royal Rumble.

We go to Sean Mooney, and we see Bobby Heenan dressed in drag trying to get in the building.

Commercials

We comeback and Razor Ramon is in the ring with Vince McMahon. Razor Ramon will be challenging World Champion Bret Hart at the Royal Rumble.

Razor says he was born ready, and likes the sound of “golden opportunity�. Ramon says that he will win the World Title after 8 ½ months in WWF. Compared to the 8 ½ years that it took Bret Hart.

We see footage of Razor attacking Owen Hart on Super Stars. Ramon says Hart can do anything about him winning the World Title, at the Rumble.

We go to a promo by Tatanka who cuts a brief promo about “Headlock on Hunger�

IC Champion HBK defeated Max Moon in 7:53 after a side suplex to retain the IC Title. *½

This was a pretty good back and forth contest, and crowd got into it near the end. HBK did use the super kick, only as a set up to his weak finish, the side suplex.

We now go to Gene, who gives us a Royal Rumble Report.
HBK/Jannetty for the IC Title Match.
Both men gut a brief promo that each will win the belt, and Sherri’s heart.
30 Man Battle Royal. Mr. Perfect cuts a promo on winning the Rumble.
Yokozuna, well Mr. Fuji cuts a promo on Yokozuna winning the Royal Rumble.
Jim Duggan cuts a promo on winning the Royal Rumble. He says he can’t guarantee a win, but will give 110%
Bret Hart defends his World Title against Razor Ramon.

We go back to Sean Mooney with people getting tickets for next week. Bobby Heenan comes over again in a disguise. He begs yet again to get in.

Commercials

We see the face turn of Kamala as he chases off Kimchee and Harvey Whippleman thanks to Rev. Slick.

The Undertaker defeated Damian Demento in 2:25 after the tombstone pile driver. DUD

A few sloppy moves, Taker was really in control for the most of the match. Demento was just a sloppy wrestler.

Commercials

We comeback and Vince is standing with Doink the Clown. Doink likes to make children cry, rather than laugh. Crush comes out and confronts Doink. As Crush threatens Doink, Doink sprays him with a squirt gun. That was pretty funny, at least to Doink.

Sean Mooney tells Heenan that he can finally get in, too bad the show is over..

The Good: Max Moon/HBK by default. Steiner Brothers and their crisp moves.

The Bad: Rob Bartlett, he tries to be funny, and he isn’t by any stretch of the imagination.
