Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Wrestlers Quiting (Retiring) It seems like on these boards when a topic comes up about a wrestler quitting - trish right now, and posts about the undertaker, Kane, Ric flair, and other wrestlers near the end of their career - that there is a majority of people who talk about them winning their last match or having one last title reign or vacating the belt on their way out. That's not how the wrestling in dusty works though. When you read the biographies or interviews of the wrestlers its customary to go out by losing your last match.. So basically I was thinking about what would be some good ways to end the careers of those currently in the industry and what you guys would think would make good matches/finishes. My opinions: Ric Flair - I will be sad to see him go, he is one of my favorites. For his last match I would like to see him go against Triple H with Triple H winning it. I think they work excellent matches against each other and they have a lot of respect for each other back stage. I wouldn't be surprised if this one ended up happening. Undertaker - Obviously people talk about Wrestlemania. So the question is do you end his career undefeated or do you put someone really really over by ending his streak and career in one match at mania. To me if it was to put someone over you would want a young guy - Towney has brought up that Batista / Taker would really draw, but in my opinion Batista is too old and already is over enough. Randy Orton would be a good choice but they have already had a long feud, so that would have to play into the match somehow. Cena I think would be a good choice but only if he got turned heel, and this could be a good feud to do it. He would gain a lot of heat now and it would start off his heel run with some credibility. Kane - to be honest I am not really a huge Kane fan, and with the way he has been pushed lately he wouldn't really be able to put anyone big over - So he could either win his last match, have a last run against Taker (I dint think taker should end his own career against Kane however), or push someone in the intercontinentalish title picture. Trish Stratus - I think Mickie would be a good choice, but they are like Taker/Orton in the sense that they have already had a drawn out feud. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make a big deal out of her exit, just like they haven't with other female wrestlers in the past. Lastly: Hulk Hogan - Yea I know he has already had a lot of "last matches" but it would be nice to see him actually have a real one. I am not sure who against other then of course that Austin/Hogan wrestlemania would be huge. I would prefer to see Austin go over though and I am not sure if Hogan would be up for that. So what do you guys think about these wrestlers and be feel free to add your own. |
