Quick ECW results for the 29/7/06

I just got back from the ECW event at the Whittemore Center Arena. Before I get to the results just some side notes. The arena which holds Id say close to 10,000 only had about 800 people there. And the ring was centered to one side of the arena instead of the center of the whole arena. Spotted in the crowd was former WWE wrestler Palmer Cannon (Brian Black). Also local indy workers Osirus, Brian Fury, and Nikki Roxx. I was sitting right behind the music table and the agents out there included Steve Keirn and Dean Malenko. At the very beginning of the show Malenko was sitting at the table eating dippy dots ice cream. Some of the people sitting around me were making a big deal about that. The crowd that was there was into the show and responsive to most of it. If it had been in a smaller building it would have made for a much better atmosphere.

(1) Balls Mahoney beat Eric Perez (from Deep South wrestling, I believe).

(2) Newkirk & OReilly beat The FBI.

(3) Mike Knox beat Stevie Richards.

(4) Francine won the bikini contest against Kelly. Afterwards, Jazz came down to a huge pop and beat up both women.

(5) C.M. Punk (who was very over with the crowd) beat Fertig.

They took a 10 minute intermission

(6) Sandman beat Justin Credible by DQ in the dueling canes match when Mike Knox interfered. Test then also came down and Test and Knox were double teaming Sandman when Tommy Dreamer made the save which lead to...

(7) Test & Mike Knox beating Sandman & Tommy Dreamer.

(8) Big Show beat Sabu to retain the ECW World Title after chokeslamming Sabu through the table.

Notes: Show started at 7:30 and ended at 9:30. Short but an okay show.
