Is RAW...back?

Maybe this thread is me being a little overzealous, but we all remember the last time WWE was in the dumpster of entertainment. Bret Hart was about to sign with WCW and guys like Ahmed Johnson (ugh!) were top faces in the company. Their storylines were pathetic, their roster was pathetic.. I could go on and on about this but my point is..

WWE was forced to develop stars and interesting storylines. They got a little luck along the way, but it seems like WWE needs to get a real good kick in the ass before they start writing well again..

Lets look at how they've booked RAW the last few months/years. Cena as champ. Cena overcomes the odds. Repeat.

That in a nutshell is what we've been sitting through for what seems like forever.

They had their top star (kinda like Hogan in the 80's) and they rode with him. Yes, he is their top seller in merchandise, but what would have happened in 1987 in Hulk would have gone down to injury? The WWE had no replacement. They had all their eggs in the Hogan basket..

Post-Cena injury, so far we've seen a well booked PPV that in my opinion made the WWE Championship look very important, and then we were treated to a surprise return (surprise, when's the last time that happened?) by HBK who actually attacked the guy that put him on the shelf..storyline wise.

Wow.. is that continuity I smell?

Look, I'm not saying RAW is back. I'm hoping it's going to get better and that WWE will be forced to make it better without their main man. Then at least we can be treated to something a little different for a change and maybe when Cena comes back, WWE creative won't have to put everything on his shoulders.

it could be continuity,,, that or they would've had hbk jump whoever was champ anyways just to put him in a #1 contender spot. I can only speculate, but I bet that even if cena was champ and hbk came back, he would've challenged cena too. maybe just in a slightly less attacky way, maybe not. either way there is always going to be a superkick.

Judging by reports that RAW got a 2.8 rating this past Monday, its lowest rating since 1997, I dunno anymore.

Does the injury to Cena really mean that SO many people are turning off their tv's now? I sure hope not, but we'll see.
