The U.S Title is the same level as the IC Title, which is the title Y2J for wrestling over most of his WWE career, and Rey going into ECW would give the brand the lift it whould have got when Benoit went there

IC is way higher than US. The US title has taken a big hit recently. Mainly bacause MVP hasent defended in months. Also the only way Jericho is coming back is for a big role, not talent enhancer.
Mysterio doesnt have a lot of years left in him, do you really see him happily going down that many levels to ECW?

Benoit didnt have a lot of years left but he was being sent down to ECW, and the reason M.V.P hasnt defended in 2 months is because he's being rteasted because of the heart problem his feud with Matt Hardy is much better than Umaga's feud with Santino ever was

Edge was stripped of his title due to injury, MVP should have aswell. WWE rules clearly state the title must be defended once every 30 days or they will be stripped.

You're funny. Rules. There haven't been comprehensive rules since the late 90s.
Ball shots, chair shots, 5 seconds to break a hold, 30 day rule, a #1 contender done by the top 10 list instead of impromtu matches for a ppv every 20 days. No closed fists. The Rock, Austin and Cena use that as they're main offense. You're suppossed to break the hold if the ropes are reached, regardless if u pull them off the ropes.
I can't think of to many times there has been a DQ for any of the classic reasons. The rules have been pushed aside for ratings purposes.
