Cody Rhodes

The Phantom

So last night we saw Cody Rhodes in a backstage segment along with his dad and Randy Orton. It seems as though WWE is bringing him up to the main roster, since I read somewhere he’d been working down in OVW (I could be wrong though).

How do you see this panning out? I quite like the idea of Cody coming up, he’s a good talker, and obviously knows the business through his father. I think ultimately they’ll tease a feud between him and Orton, only for him to side with Randy, and become another legend killer type character with a chip on his shoulder.

It will depend on what he can do in ring. If he is good in ring I don't see why you turn him heel. There are all ready enough heel's on the Raw roster. If he is good enough it would almost make sense to make him face and give him a career long rivalry with Orton... a couple of 2nd /3rd generation kids going at it on and off through out their careers would be great. But it would be good to bring in a face that respects the history of wrestling and has a legendary father figure.

He probably will be a face, but i'd like to see him as a heel. But I guess I like heels better.

I typically like heels better as well, there are just too many of them on RAW right now. I think he does have the back story though to have an awesome face character.

I live about an hour away from Louisville, so I get the OVW tv taping. Cody's pretty good down there, still a little green. But, he does have one of the hotter feuds down there with his former tag partner. He's the over face in that feud, and the tag team was a face as well. I think he'll be a face if/when the bring him up.

I don't think he's gonna be brought up full-time yet. Like the guy said he's still pretty green and he would benefeit alot from staying in OVW for awhile.

I think he's actually been brought up, im thinking they will do a tag match at The Great American Bash with The Ortons vs The Rhodes

Lol, that's exactly what I was thinking!

I have never seen the guy wrestle, so I'll wait and see in that regard, though this is yet further evidence that the group......which had decided following the last roster draft that ECW was going to be the link between OVW and the two main rosters, where they would stop bringing young (green?) guys up too early.....have decided to actually carry on bringing guys directly into the main rosters.

Well, they probably knew they'd be calling up Cody a while back. Maybe they think he's ready.. I've never seen him wrestle either but if he's half as good as Dad, that's pretty good..
