Raw Review 7/17

Hey peeps I am back for a nice raw review. I think this is very detailed and gave my opion on stuff but I am glad to see my last two columns have been really good.

Raw this week was way better than last week and looks very promising for upcoming weeks. Raw was very entertaining but not only that it was very fun to watch. I dont have anything bad to say about it really but hey nothing is perfect so there were a few things about that could be fixed. The thing that wasnt so good was the whole diva segment wasnt impressed at all but we will get it every week which sucks. What I enjoyed to see was the crowd was pumped for micheals and DX which is always good to see becuase its going to be the last time DX is in San Antonio, TX. Well let me get started on reveiw itself.

I was amazed and just so happy that we could see such a good match like Carlito vs Shelton. Its not every day we see two great competors in the ring and battle it out to a clean finish. Carlito is showing that he can be a promising wrestle and the great thing to see that the more he gets in the ring to wrestle the better he get everytime. Shelton you just now what your getting with him he is so promising and should get a bigger push and maybe a heavyweight title run. But back to the match Carlito is just on fire right now he beat Nitro for a Number One Contender shot but hey to me it wasnt a huge surprise. But now he beat shelton benjamin which the outcome wasnt how I liked it I now carlito is a face in all but he cant keep winning matches by cheating. Its gets very boring and shows wwe cant trust him which is total bull shit becuase carlito has showed he can wrestler good now.

Well Mick Foley appearence this week were a good way to spot last weeks. I am not saying it was awsome but I think good enough to recap what he did last week. I dont think he will top that but he will work off it which is good to see.I did like watching him taunt Ric Flair by refusing a rematch; I think this storyline is being done so well. And then you have Ric going ballistic because of Foley’s refusal. Flair and Foley are working off each other so very well. I was surprised to see Johnny Nitro and Melina come out during Flair’s segment, but hey she looked ulgy with that hair style and hope the hell she never wears it again becuase that could kill nitro becuase there is no nitto without melina. But I cant wait to see where this goes into next week.

Now I was kinda not please with this segment of the show but I didnt mind the women’s tag team match with Torrie and Trish vs. Mickie James and Victoria in it. But what I like how wwe made candice Michelle the guest referre which shook up the match a little more and gave it that push so we would want to watch it. I was so happy when I finally saw that Candice was going to go face becuase I have seen this happening for a couple of weeks now and I knew that for sure becuase she would always rough up mickie or victoria. Something that also made me happy was to see Trish wrestler becuase I know the rumors that she is leaving and makes me sad to see her leave becuase she has gone so far with the company. (Hopes she re-signs with the wwe). But overall this match was an overall meh but watched it just for the boobies becuase I knew who was going to win from the start.

Now with this Randy Orton vs. Mick Foley match I thought it was a joke and wasnt interested in this at all. Why becuase there is no way and no need for randy orton to be wrestling that low in talent. He is way better to be just competing with eugene. But I think the reason is becuase of what he went threw becuase he was never wrestling this kind of talent. Also we all new Orton was going to win becuase there was no way in hell he was going to loose. I would of rather just seen a great promo with orton and have him punked on hogan. Eugene on the other hand he is starting to get boring and I think he will be realesed soon becuase there is no way to change a retarted gimmick.

Highlanders def. Steele & Simpson was a alright match but it amazed on how well the The Highlanders can wrestle and can perform in the ring. If I wouldnt of known I would of though they werent new and had been in the company for a few months. These guys look like a solid tag team and should stay together for as long as possible. I think they shouldnt be jobbing guys I think its time for wwe to put them in a fued and get there career really going.

Sometimes I wonder to myself am I all right? Well with this conculsion right here I am not sure if I am becuase I acually though the umaga vs. John cena match was pretty good. When I saw umaga wrestler in this match I had never seen him wreslter like he did and I think he proved to wwe and the fans he can be something someday. But last night not only did he come across well, but so did Cena. I am starting like cena now becuase ever sense the whole ecw has come into the picture cena has maned up and has taken so abuse, and last night was no exception. I was shocked to see John Cena get tripped by umaga into Matt Strickers chalkboard. Now I didnt really like this segment at all becuase it was a waste of time and I dont really like Strickers role in the wwe. Dont get me wrong the Cena/Striker interaction before the match was okay but should of been done early in show.
I figured Edge would interfere which he did but I thought that Cena would win on a DQ. I really didn’t expect Umaga to keep his win streak going. But hey this sets a better fued and good way to make ecw better becuase you know cena will want revenge.

Now to the great main event and most specail DX. I liked this main event alot and what made it a little more exciting was the Mr. Mcmahon was in this sons corner and HHH was in the fellow partners HBK. I now people were thinking we have seen this before but I think this time was was better and more entertaining. I always like to see shane in the ring becuase of way he does stuff. He always puts this body on the line and does anything to please the fans which is big in my book. My only complaint is that I was thrilled the Spirit Squad was not around and when they did show up at the end I could have done without that. However, let me say a few things. I was really into this match and when Vince interfered with Shawn and ran from Hunter, and Hunter chased Vince, I was yelling to my husband “it’s a trap, it’s a trap.� See how involved I get? And I think like many are saying on the net the Squad needs to finally get the upper hand on DX because they keep going down week after week. But even with that I enjoyed the main event and the sledgehammer
