This could possibly go in the Coward Cave/Rant forum as its essentially a rant. I am only watching it because I have some time to kill before Lost comes on. With that being said, lets trash Vince and his concept of what works in 2007

I wont even get really into the whole "Original ECW" crap as its CLEARLY beyond that at this point......

Snitsky? Fucking awful. The guy looks like a greasy zitty mess. This "Insane pyscho" gimmick where he beats people into submission is the same guy that jobbed on Raw for over 2 years. GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK !!!! He doesnt look like he has improved in ANY fashion at all. I mean the guy was never a terrible wrestler, but to suddenly start putting him over essentially everyone is POPPYCOCK. The sad part is all those steroids he must pump into his body and he isnt even that big. Give the guy a shirt or something.

Did I mention they don't even use the old ECW entrance anymore? Now its just the Smackdown entrance with some moving ECW icon. Nothing about this reminds anyone about ECW.

So how did this New Breed/Originals thing end? Did it? Clearly I missed it. Because now CMPunk is a face again? I understand he was never really a heel, but wasnt that like 4 weeks ago? Way to milk a storyline guys............

Hey. Here is someone that is happy there is an ECW.....Stevie Richards. Anyone else think he would have a job with the WWE if it werent for the "ECW" brand? I don't get why this guy was never given a chance in the WWE. He at least appears to have all the tools to be a decent tag or US champion.

lol Nice rant. I agree 100% and I believe it will die soon enough. I can't think that anyone watches it anymore, so soon enough Sci-Fi will can it and I guess Vince will get his wish because you know damn well he knows that heyman could have been successful with this brand, but his (Vince's) ego wouldn't allow it.

Stevie had a pretty good run with a stable group in the late 90's, the Censored group. He hasn't done anything since but job. He put a a good mach w/ CM though.

Agreed about Snitsky. The guy is awful and his body is crying out "wellness issues!"

Some things they do pretty well on there. For example CM Punk was ticking along quite nicely with his whole semi heel turn to the New Breed. That had promise with him gradually breaking them down from within and not really being on their "side".

However......WWE creative can't show any frikkin patience with anything. Had they let this tease run for a few months leading toward Summerslam there could have been some decent heat on a match between Punk and Burke (Elijah has been awesome in recent times) but the whole angle start to finish is going to blow off in a few weeks, which is a shame.

In terms of entrances it must kill ol' Vinny to see RVD still getting the only consistenly "superstar" reaction of the ECW performers. If he does lose RVD soon then he should just shut the doors on ECW for good.

I preferred this whole show when they used to call it "Heat" or "Velocity" or something!!

I think one of the few good things ECW had going was the Originals vs. New Breed concept. While I think they really could have improved the angle by incorporating old videos and such of the Originals to get them over more..this angle is dead now. Sabu is gone, RVD is unhappy, and I'm sure Sandman will get canned soon.

ECW is a joke. I looked on their roster and counted the amount of male wrestlers (not including managers/announcers/etc.), I think the number is now down to about 15. And they want to bring in tag titles? Puh-lease.

Finally I see other people praising Stevie Richards. I know all you guys think that he's as sexxy as I do.
I'm also liking Burke, though I have trouble sitting through the entire hour of ECW. But I find that I'm more able to sit through ECW than an entire Raw as of late. But that's probably just b/c Raw only consists of Cena, HBK, and the McMahons anymore.

There's a lot of really good and promising talent in ECW right now, I think the best way to promote and get it over would be to drop the stupid main event status WWE keeps pushing. From Big Show to present date (VKM's rib/insult) EXW is giving away it's core identity. If they pushed the nu-breed vs. all fued and dropped all WWE failures the brand would have both identity and credibility. Unfortunatley with Vince's formula of putting in a "big (both pyschical and namewise)" main event he is diminishing the actual talent that could make the new ECW a success. Even without Heyman nu-ECW is making stars (Burke, Corvan, Fertig and Punk) but they need to be better than the mid-card, take WWE away from the mix and Vince's watered-dwon vision could work, keep putting WWE's mid-upper carders in there and the project will just keep sinking.
