Lol, I'll vote for Brainbusters, partly because Anderson and Blanchard were excellent technicians and partly because I have not got a frikkin clue who Southern Comfort ever were!! (well apart from reading that bit above....)

Indeed. I agree that I am not too familiar with Southern Comfort...Sounds more like a girly drink than anything else to me... anyway, I remember watching the brainbusters back in WWF, and the only other team I would consider Arn being a part of that was better was of course the 4 Horsemen... but he was never really a straight tag team performer at that point either.

HRMM No clue who Southern Comfort are, a bit of an odd suggestion by someone. Either way I'm gonna vote BrainBusters. Also, just an idea, and not to harp or nag on the mods as I love this idea but I think next time a tournament is done it might be better to publically (not through pm) suggest teams to avoid some random team making, maybe even give the mods veto power. Also, if it's public like have a ranking system, where say you seed it like the NCAA tournament, that way it doesn't end up with two good teams fighting each other early on.

I suggested that with the Ultimate PPV Tournament, it ranks up the wrestler with the best PPV record against the wrestler with the worst (second best with second worst, etc.). Although I would prefer to run it myself, I am willing to let Crocker run it (but he doesn't seem interested).

I'm enjoying this tournament, it seems to be run more akin to the English Football Cup (where basically anybody can draw up with anybody in the next round). It makes for the earlier rounds being more interesting since you're just as likely to get a Hart Foundation-E&C match up in the early rounds as the later ones.

The thread and competition are run for the benefit of our members, so I'm happy that they (either in PM form or on a chosen thread) select the teams that take part in it since they will be the ones voting in it. To use just teams from a PPV win/loss basis is using teams that our members will have absolutely no interest in since nobody even wanted them in it to start with.

From my point of view a seeding system based on PPV win/losses would be more likely to end up with even more squashes than you normally get in the early stages since the most popular teams are likelier to have the higher PPV win/loss records.


The bottom line however is that, rightly or wrongly, Admin made a decision regarding tournos on the Wrestling forum being left in the capability of the Mod's or at least with the Mod's knowledge and agreement.

I would be more than happy to discuss that decision further with you in PM form, but please can I ask that you, and anybody else from hereon in, refrain from any more posts or replies referring to your proposed tournament in this thread and/or competition.

The competition is, I'm sure, designed to elicit replies and responses related to wrestling, and not to how tournaments are run on here or whether this particular competition is as good as another competition.
