WWE Starts 2007 With Sellouts

WWE Rings in New Year with Sell-Outs
WWE is off to a great start for 2007 with two major pay per views selling out. Tickets for the Royal Rumble on January 28 in San Antonio sold out last week. Tickets for WWEÂ’s 20th annual SummerSlam live event pay-per-view sold out in just 40 minutes the Saturday before New Year's Day. The event emanates from the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J., on Aug. 26, 2007,. This will be the first time in more than 10 years that WWEÂ’s "Biggest Party of the Summer" will return to the Garden State.

The sell out came on the heels of a sold out non-televised Raw event on Dec. 28 at Continental Airlines Arena witnessed by more than 20,000 screaming fans.

The first Monday Night Raw of 2007 drew a sell-out crowd of more than 13,600 at MiamiÂ’s American Airlines Arena where WWE Champion John Cena took on Kevin Federline to kick-off the New Year.

Smackdown/ECW was sold out as well.

I smell a wrestling boom for the next 5 years. I just see this as one of those cycles.

I can't see it being a boom for the next 5 years, but I think 2007 will be a big year for them. Not sure why, but it will be. I think they're do for atleast a breakout year.
