The next week, Jonathan Coachman announced that the battle between Cena and Umaga would take place at New YearÂ’s Revolution. Later that night, after The Champ defeated Chris Masters in a Master Lock Challenge, the Bulldozer stormed the ring looking to get it on early. Cena met him when he did, and the two men engaged in a lengthy brawl that took almost a dozen people to break up.
In over eight months of competition, no one has been able to defeat the dangerous Samoan Bulldozer. With the WWE Championship at stake on Jan. 7, will that streak continue or will John Cena finally put a blemish on UmagaÂ’s record?

Tag Team Match D-Generation X vs. World Tag Team Champions Rated-RKO
At New YearÂ’s Revolution, the rivalry between D-Generation X and Rated-RKO will reach its peak when the two teams clash once again.
The rivalry began back in October, when Edge & Randy Orton bonded together on the premise of ending DXÂ’s reign of terror on Raw. They were successful at Cyber Sunday, as special guest referee Eric Bischoff helped Rated-RKO defeat DX.
Since then, the rivalry between the two teams has only intensified. DX prevented Edge & Orton from winning the World Tag Team Championship the night after Cyber Sunday, but Rated-RKO ended up winning the gold one week later anyway.
DX may have gotten a measure of revenge at Survivor Series by captaining a team that defeated Edge & OrtonÂ’s team (in fact, shutting them out), but the World Tag Team Champions quickly struck back by destroying DXÂ’s friend Ric Flair.
So at New Year's Revolution, will D-Generation X put the ultimate stake in the hearts of Edge & Orton, or will Rated-RKO re-establish their dominance over HBK & The Game?

Intercontinental Championship Steel Cage Match Jeff Hardy(c) vs. Johnny Nitro
Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro will once again clash for the Intercontinental Championship at New YearÂ’s Revolution. This time, however, it will be inside a 15-foot high steel cage.
For the last few months, Hardy and Nitro have waged a vicious war centering on the Intercontinental Championship. Hardy won it from Nitro on the Oct. 2 Raw, with Nitro regaining it on Nov. 6. That reign was short-lived, however, as Hardy won the gold back the very next week in England, and one week after that, the two clashed in a vicious Ladder Match that saw Hardy retain his newly-won gold.
Tag team partners have also gotten involved in this rivalry as well; at Survivor Series, Hardy was on a team with brother Matt, CM Punk & DX that shut out Rated-RKO, Nitro, Gregory Helms & Mike Knox, and one week later, the Hardys defeated Nitro & Joey Mercury at ECW December to Dismember.
Finally, on the Dec. 11 Raw, Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman announced the match for New YearÂ’s Revolution, saying that he would give Nitro another chance to prove to the world that he is a star. However, to get NitroÂ’s attention, he told him that the match would be a Steel Cage Match.
ItÂ’s a rivalry that has spanned four months, three pay-per-views, two brands and one piece of gold. Who will be left standing as Intercontinental Champion when the latest chapter of their rivalry is written inside the cage?

WomenÂ’s Championship Match Mickie James(c) vs. Victoria
Victoria will start off 2007 with a chance at the gold against current WWE WomenÂ’s Champion Mickie James at New YearÂ’s Revolution. After enduring weeks of humiliation at the hands of her formal rival Lita, the talented Mickie was finally able to claim the gold by defeating her at Survivor Series. Victoria has been on a rampage as of late, arriving at each of her matches with a checklist of WWE Divas that she plans to defeat. After picking up wins over Candice, Maria and Torrie, Mickie is the only Superstar left on VictoriaÂ’s list. Will Victoria continue to rack up the wins when she faces Mickie live from Kansas City, Mo.? Will Mickie be able to retain her newly-won title? Order New Year's Revolution live on pay-per-view to find out.
Recent Raw PPVs have blown. I see this trend continuing. The only match I'd pay to see is Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy. We've seen the DX vs. Rated RKO match, sorry not intriguing. Cena vs. former jobber, hmmm I wonder if the jobber stands a chance. I'd say no. We've already seen Mickie vs. Victoria and Kenny vs. Flair on FREE TV. So yeah, meh.
I have to agree, this looks/sounds like a bad PPV, the only match I would want to see is jeffs match, Cenas going to beat K-Fed obviusly, so yeah...screw this.

Its an event i will surely watch and look forward to although another cheesy cena victory may just kill me off . I think the Rko/Dx rivalry is running iself into the ground i think Dx cud do with fighting sum singles matches more regularly maybe a push for the title from shawn or hunter would be nice as they can remain a group but have gold to their name
This should be the deciding bout between Dx and Rko i think if Dx dust this one of a title run is needed for one of them . Why wasnt there a elimination chamber ? i know ECW had it but what right hav they to steal the concept and ruin NYR's tradition as well as Quality ?
The reason you won't see an Elimination Chamber is because WWE doesn't like to over-use it, plus D-X doesn't have another man to make it 6 competitors total. I see a match happening between the men but nothing major like your putting it.
I see this fueding ending soon so, WWE must have something up there sleeve.
I think i will save my monet for the Royal Rumble, I always counted that as the start of the new wrestling year, not New Year's Revolution. I will not get this because it is basically the same thing we have been seeing on Raw for the past month. Nitro vs. Hardy in a cage should be good, but this is like what? Their 7th match together?
And Cena will of course walk away with some victory, whether it be by pin or submission or DQ, Cena will win.
I see DX walking away with the win only because if Team RKO wins, then that basically means the feud has to continue. This has been going on since October, so it has to end soon.
Mickie James will retain because, well I wouldn't take this as a huge spoiler or anything, but i heard Victoria is actually in line for a de-push because she has requested time off to be with Family. So take that for what it's worth.

WWE Championship: Cena (why not? Umaga surely doesn't deserve it, they usually make the longstanding champions go for another title first.. )
DX vs. Rated RKO: Rated RKO, with a heel turn by one of the DX members (HOPEFULLY) cuz we're all getting kinda tired of the same DX garbage night in and night out
Umaga over Cena by DQ. Yes, a DQ. It sets up the rematch at the Royal Rumble.
Orton & Edge over DX by pinfall. RKO loses the titles before or at the Rumble to the Hardy Boyz.
Nitro over Jeff by climbing the cage.
Mickie James over Victoria by pinfall. Sets up the rematch at Wrestlemania.
Kenny over Flair by making Flair submit to the Figure Four.
Carlito over Chris Masters by pinfall. They need to have this be a back and forth match. I watched their match from Backlash the other night, and it was all one sided and the crowd was dead after initially getting into it.
