Ashley the next Playboy cover girl – Part 1

“I’m super-honored, majorly honored. That’s something big, to be on the cover of Playboy," Ashley smiled.
It’s official – WWE has named Ashley next in line to be a Playboy cover girl. The sexy SmackDown Diva has signed on to grace the cover of the magazine’s April 2007 issue, just in time for WrestleMania 23.
Ashley will travel to Los Angeles to shoot the pictorial. But the big question on everyoneÂ’s mind remains: Is she nervous?
“I don’t know! I keep thinking, I’m not going to be nervous because there are a million things I could be nervous about. We go out in front of God knows how many fans every week and we do live events, we do things spur-of-the-moment,” she told WWE.com in an exclusive interview.
“I keep telling myself, ‘You’re not nervous about this – come on!’ Then I really start to think about it, and I’m going to be completely naked. Then I start to think maybe I will be nervous.”
Her excitement overshadows her nervousness, though. Raw Divas and former Playboy cover girls, Candice Michelle and Torrie, along with current Playboy cover girl, Cindy Margolis, have offered Ashley advice and tips.
“Everyone seems to think the same thing – you’re so engrossed in the shoot that you don’t even really notice that you’re naked,” Ashley laughed. “I have a feeling it might go the same way for me.”
Ashley admitted it wasnÂ’t an easy decision to pose for Playboy, and she actually polled some WWE fans for their opinions. Ultimately, the decision to pose nude was hers, and sheÂ’s happy she said yes. It seems some of her family members might be in for a big surprise, though. While her dad and her brother know about inking the Playboy deal, her mom does not.
“My mom will disown me. I’m just hoping that she won’t find out,” Ashley revealed. “That sounds so silly to say because it’s going to be everywhere, but believe it or not, my mom’s that engrossed in her own world, that there’s a chance she might not see it. I’m just going to roll those dice.”
And no, guys, thereÂ’s no boyfriend who needs to approve of the shoot, either.
“I am single,” Ashley giggled. “So I don’t have to okay this s**t with anybody!”
While Ashley is simply a knockout, the Diva attributes much more than her great looks and killer body to her success. ItÂ’s all about honesty, integrity, hard work and, of course, having a little bit of fun along the way.
“Good things happen to good people in this world. If you give back and do the right thing to people, then you’re going to be okay,” Ashley said, pointing out that she’s a firm believer in karma.
“I believe in working hard and doing right by people and having a good time. Hopefully it’ll all pan out – that’s my motto.”
The humble Diva wouldnÂ’t reveal which part of her body she thinks is her finest; however, she explained that when it comes to sexy, itÂ’s all in the eyes.
“I believe the eyes are a good view of someone – a little bit deeper. You could tell if someone’s sexy just by looking at their eyes,” Ashley stated. “So if I had to choose one part that I’d want someone to look at on me, it would be my eyes.”
So stay attentive, WWE fans, while youÂ’re staring into AshleyÂ’s beautiful green eyes. The Diva just might be at the newsstand next to you, scooping up copies of her Playboy cover issue, which will be released Friday, March 9. AshleyÂ’s so excited, she could be the first in line to buy it.
“Yeah!” she exclaimed. “Hell yeah, are you kidding me, I’m buying every copy on the shelf!”
