After several solid weeks of smackdown television, I thought that this weeks smackdown was lackluster. I was warming to the idea of the 6 man over the top rope challenge, but hated it when it was announced that the participants would face each other in singles matches - this just highlights the fact that smackdown doesn't have the star power to fill up a 2 hr slot. I dont know if its just the uk, but they've also been showing matches from the "wwe vault", which I dont mind from time to time, but on a weekly flagship show its a bit much.
The slow batista-taker build is being done almost to perfection, although I still dread that batista will win at mania
on raw there is a clear(ish) IC division, on smackdown you have benoit, chavo...and that's about it really, although matt hardy should be challenging for it soon.
london and kendrick are awesome in carrying the tag division
what's the point of "pushing" the boogeyman if he doesn't appear on television more often than he does.
I agree with you on most of your points about the show. I really think the Batista/Taker angle is being worked over perferctly myself. I really don't want to see Batista go over the Undertaker myself and, like I mentioned before Batista should drop the belt at Wrestlemania and then win the title back at Summerslam which is WWE's second biggest PPV. I agree the United States title division is very lack luster and they should be building up stars by competeing with Benoit. I wish WWE would drop the Chavo/Benoit fued since IMO Chavo will never get over to the point he can carry the UD title. He's been in the business for years and is only still in WWE IMO because of his last name and what his family was able to accomplish.... more like what Eddie was able to accomplosh since Hector was a lost cause in WCW. I agree Matt Hardy should be pushed into the US division and possibly use Kane as a guy to boost the division like Benoit has done. About London and Kendrick carrying the tag team division... There really is no tag team division so the put the belts on the only team with any cred and, the same can be said about Helms and the Cruiser weight division.
First time, ive watched a full SD episode in ages. Really enjoyed it. JBL is still a god on the mic. And Batista/Taker, despite my hate for Tista is being done picture perfect. I want Taker to go over at Mania.
I love the Greasers and Kennedy will be a huge star by years end, he is on song. In addition, i also am enjoying MVP more and more each week.
