Wrestlemania 23

There were a bunch of other threads that had to do with specific matches or ideas of WM23 so i figured i'd make a thread for anything regarding WM23. What do you want to happen, what do you think will happen, what should happen?... etc.

Two things I'd like

World Title
Randy Orton vs Edge (Face Champ)
I really think this would be the best way to go for Raw, Edge and Orton are in their prime so use them. This wont happen but i'd like to see Edge and Orton as the last two in the rumble and have Orton screw Edge and have Orton win the rumble. Next few weeks have Edge become more and more face, for whatever reason Edge wins the title off Umaga because he shoudlnt lose to Cena at the Rumble. And we've seen Orton as face and it damn near killed him and Edge as face isnt the best but it'll work.

This wont happen but I'd like to see a Tag Team unification match maybe even do it instead of the money in the bank match and make a type elimation with all the tag teams...
London & Kendrick vs Hardy Boyz vs MNM vs WGTT vs Highlanders vs Cryme Tyme vs K.C. James and Idol Stevens
and the final two teams could have a ladder match... it'd be an interesting idea that'll never happen i know.

I'd love to see benjamin win a big match and heg the push he deserves. I'd love to see CM Punk beat lashley for the be;t.

Even though I'm a huge Edge mark I'd hate the idea of him as a face against Orton. Mainly because Edge is a not so good face and we've seen Edge vs Orton, and while the match itself was good, the heat it generated wasn't . Many people cheered Orton over Edge when Edge was in the face role. Also with Shelton it's pretty much he's gonna do another great job in the match and get pushed up until about Vengeance when WWE will decide to job him for four months, only to do the same thing next year.

Since Wrestlemania is in my home town (Detroit), I have tickets and will be there for the biggest pay per view of the year!!! 13th row from the ring, on the floor. Problem is, my friend that wanted to go with me bailed after I bought the tickets. So now I have an extra ticket that is $250 US and none of my friends (few of them watch wrestling) want to pony up the dough. If nobody ends up wanting to go, I might have to open the invitation to the Monkers!! (Only cool people apply, please.*) Otherwise, I'll end up coughing up the money and just bringing wifey with me, who doesn't have much of an interest in it.

But anyway, I'll say that seeing Orton vs. Cena would make it worth my while. I'd enjoy that match, and I'd cheer Orton on like hell. I don't think Edge vs. Orton could be done as it's not enough time to build that angle as we are about 2 months away and they are tag team champs, and friends. Maybe by the time Summerslam rolls around...

umm,Idk about wrestlemania this year so many stars are gonna be missing out on the biggest wrestling event of the year....

From a mark's view mania is up in the air and I love it! It's a great feeling to not know where the main events are right now (even educated guesses could be far off the mark at this point) and to be looking forward to a mixed build. On the other hand 'mania definitley needs a couple of big biulds coming soon, fair enough the belts are gonna be unpridictable but we still need a "dream" match "that could still be hogan/show, the show stuff could be a throw off" and we still need a celebrity bout (that (even tho I thought he was great) isnt K-Fed). At this point I'd say mania 07 is as aimless as ive ever seen it.

^^ Exactly. In years past most of the Mania stuff has started to take form. This year there's seemingly a different report everyday about the main event, who Hogan will fight. If Austin will be there ect. In a way being unpredictable is good, but I do want at least my Wrestlemania matches to seem important and well built.

my guess about the card so far is they'll do Cena vs HBK or Cena vs Orton... Not sure which i'd rather see I guess either way as long as Cena loses. And why is everybody so against Face vs Face matches? I love face vs face or heel vs heel i think they're sometimes the best matches. Anybody else remember the bulid to Bret Hart vs HBK ironman match? That was more or less a face vs face.

I hope they dont do Batista vs Taker but it seems more and more like they will. Hopefully taker'll win it.
I'd love to see another MITB match maybe shelton will finally win it this year, but he'll probably get stuck in a pointless storylineless tag team match.
I heard Jericho might even show up to WM23 all the names being thrown around why not make a Hogan vs Big show vs austin vs Jericho match? now that'd be decent. or just keep Hogan out of it cause i hate seeing that bloody guy in matches now. Austin vs Jericho would be really cool tho.

At WM 23, I can Picture Owen Hart flyhing odone from the heavens to wrestle bret hart. Then vince mcmahon comes out to calll the match off and and all of a sudden undertaker comes out nd chokes slsamshim into the ring where bret shard lays the sharp shooter on him and austin comes out and gives him a tunner where the rock runs down the aisle and clotheslines him and giveshim the pooples elbow. and then man kind cmoes out and gives him mr. socko when jake the sna,ke roberts runs out andlays the snake out i the rink and gives mr. sock the ddt for the win and the belt to end WM @@#
