I definitely miss those days. It has got to the point where I have quit watching wrestling and I never thought that would happen.
I hope something big happens, maybe it renew some interest in it for me.

I missed the surprises for a hell of a while then finally gave up around summer 2005.
Still watch rarely at my brothers, but never enough for it to call me back. Watching wrasslin is like a sickness, once you get hooked you just can't switch it off. It took me over three years of rubbish for me to finally switch it off and say enough.
Rather than a one off big surprise, it would probably take a few months of consistently good reviews and a lot of positive comments from the guys on here that I respect the opinions of, before I'd even contemplate coming back to it.

I understand what you are saying. I no longer read spoilers with the exception of iMpact since I don't watch that show since I work Thursday nights. I remember one of the things that made me jump out of my chair was the time Y2J pinned HHH for the WWE championship. Yes I know he gave the title back but, there wasn't a single person sitting in that arena on that night. Also, Taz' debut at the Rumble against Kurt Angle was a great surprise as well.
For me you cant beat the Austin/Tyson pull apart incident, aw wasnt live over here in them days and it showed it on the news on the Tuesday night and a thought holly shit

Matt Hardy's return on Raw back in 05 was a huge shock. Because last I had heard ( a few weeks before) he was blasting wwe all over most news sites so i figured a return was certainly not going to happen. Also Edge's title win was a huge shock but other than that 06 was pretty lacking in memorable moments. D-X built to coming back was great but the actual way they "re-united" was a letdown
Edge winning the title after cashing in his MITB was the only thing in recent years and i actually watched a repeat (i think it was on sky box office) to see it rather than just read it
