A riot man... No other wrestler that I know of generated a riot or had a contest wanting to know why people hate him the most to allow those people in a lumberjack match where those fans are the jacks with leather straps.

Once in a while someone gets popular with a set of fans, these fans cheer, it's called buzz. When that buzz starts the second echlon (the sheep, i.e. people who want to belong) jion this consensus. That's peer presure. Then a brand emerges with a recognized reaction (be it physical, mental or consumer). Thats fact. Now, to counter this an adverse reaction always ensues, a great deal of todays populas does not want to conform and be told what they should do,like or feel. This is negative buzz. Much as before the negative buzz reaches a second echlon too (the sheep that think they're not, the people that do not want to belong but yearn to be accepted). This is reverse peer pressure, it creates a brand hatred and a backlash against what is percieved to be a socail steroetype. Basically a thing becomes great to one set and an anthema to others. This is the pinical creation for entertainment today, an enitity that creates a reaction from two opposing demographics, that is why Cena is an absolute pioneer in the field of pro-wrestling. However, we (as so called smart wrestling fans) must take an objective view (if we can). I personally admire Cens'a execution, work-rate, entertainment value and dedication to continious shows. That for me ellicits a positive response. I recognise his weaknesses in pshycology and pure wrestling knowledge but I forgive this (esp. seeing the opposition he has to work with). And that is why I see Cena as one of the best performers in the business today.

| And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (10/13/2008) Anything but the Present America has no now. We're reluctant to acknowledge the present. It's too embarrassing. Instead, we reach into the past. Our culture is composed of sequels, reruns, remakes, revivals, reissues, rereleases, re-creations, reenactments, adaptations, anniversaries, memorabilia, oldies radio, and nostalgia record collections. World War II has been regought on television so many times, the Germans and Japanese are now drawing residuals. Of course, being essentially out of shit, we sometiems feel the need to dress up this past preoccupation, as with pathetic references to reruns as "encore presentations". | ||
