ReY LeAvEs sMaCkDoWn: GooD tHiNg oR BaD tHiNg??

So he loses to Chavo and is "off" Smackdown now...definitely a good thing in my book. Maybe it's because I'm not a ten year old kid, or of Hispanic descent, but the novelty of seeing Rey's matches really wore off for me after the first month or two he was on WWE programming. He had some moves that a lot of now-WCW fans would go crazy for, but he's not a constant innovator. Outside of that, his character had no real depth (I mean, Dominick, are you kidding me?) and has feasted off the main event spotlight as a result of Eddie's death.

The constant Eddie references and resulting programs MAY actually just disappear for awhile, which is one of the things I think had left fans with a bad taste in their mouths in regards to Smackdown. Maybe with him being out I'll gain some appreciation for him, but I am SO sick of the "619" at this point that that'll be a far stretch. He's as generic and white bread a character as they come...it's a SHAME that when Mark Henry was assaulting him they never once had him go after the mask...that alone could've been a good focal point for a fued of notority.

I am/was a fan of Rey, but not so much once WWE started pushing him after Eddie's death. I've said it before and still believe it: Rey was only given the Royal Rumble win and the World Championship because of how close he was to Eddie Guerrero.

Rey was pretty good back in 2004, when he was still competing for the Cruiserweight Title. I say, when he comes back they should put him back in the CW division (which really needs him) and stop all references to Eddie other than the "EG" armband he wears.

I, like Mr. Kennedy WAS a fan of Rey until the ridiculous push just because of Eddie's death. But aside from that, I'm glad it did happen to Rey though. He does truly deserve to main event because of his size and everything. It worked out for him well in a way.

I have never watched WCW but how crazy were the fans over for him? Being at the Supershow last Sunday. I noticed that practically every kid is a Rey Mysterio fan. I'm not hispanic, but I did notice that every single hispanic was a Rey fan too. (Not meant to be racist if anyone takes this the wrong way). I was pro-Chavo during that show and was really confident Rey would say "I Quit". If anything, I feel bad for Chavo because HE should be the one getting the spotlight from Eddie's death. Not that anyone should get anything from Eddie's death, but had it been someone... it should of been Chavo, not Rey.

As a Smackdown lover, I hate to say it... but it could be a blow to lose Rey for now. Fans will probably go back to not responding to Chavo.. Either that or WWE will just screw around and have Chavo show up in too many matches/storylines again.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.

For me its a bad thing. Smackdown needs rey and he'll probably get lost on Raw unless he goes to his roots in ECW

So he's definitely not going to Raw? I hope not b/c I still usually watch Raw. I'm not a fan for pretty much the same reasons people have already stated. But I was never a huge fan anyways. And that damn 619 - how am I really supposed to belief that the other wrestlers really can't see that coming and somehow end up on the ropes set up for the 619 in every match when you almost never see guys get set up like that in any other match (well, they were starting to do that in every Y2J match, but that's over now).
So anyways. I hope he'll take a nice long vacation.

Well, if all of this means the end of the Eddie storylines than I'm all for it. God those were awful. Fuck whoever writes that bullshit. And fuck Vince for approving it.

And fuck all of you for watching it! haha..
