Rep Power: 15 Mr. Kennedy is the European Champion

No Mercy Preview and Discussion Thread

On the Sept. 15 edition of SmackDown, Lashley defeated intense rival Finlay to become the No. 1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy. On Oct. 8, he will enter King Booker’s kingdom and challenge him for gold, but he won’t be alone. For the first time in SmackDown history, a pay-per-view main event was changed with less than a week to go until the event. As announced Tuesday night on WWE.com, General Manager Theodore Long declared the match be changed to a Fatal Four-Way.

Per Long’s orders, King Booker will now be forced to defend his gold against not only No. 1 Contender Bobby Lashley, buy also former World Heavyweight Champion Batista and Finlay.

As always, the rules of a Fatal Four-Way are simple: the first Superstar to record a pinfall or submission will take home the gold.

All four of these men have clashed before, but never with so much on the line. What will happen with the World Heavyweight Championship is at stake? Will King Booker maintain leadership of his kingdom? Can we see an overthrow of the Royal Court? Find out at No Mercy on Oct. 8, live on pay-per-view.

Shortly after becoming United States Champion, Mr. Kennedy promised to make a major announcement on SmackDown. Kennedy told SmackDown fans that he had beaten everybody there was to beat on the SmackDown roster and, therefore, he should head to RAW. General Manager Theodore Long, however, had other plans and reminded Kennedy there is one Superstar he has yet to defeat, Undertaker. At No Mercy, the United States Champion will face the Deadman whether he likes it or not. Will Mr. Kennedy prove he is as good as he says he is? Or will Undertaker put Mr. Kennedy in his place? See for yourself at No Mercy on Oct. 8, live on pay-per-view.

Ever since The Great American Bash, when Chavo Guerrero did the unthinkable and cost his long-time friend Rey Mysterio the World Heavyweight Championship, the two have been embroiled in a family feud not seen since Romeo and Juliet. However, this rivalry is anything but a love story, as Chavo has proven by making Rey’s life miserable at every turn.

At SummerSlam, Vickie Guerrero got involved with Chavo and Rey’s match, and has since teamed up with Chavo in a business partnership with the goal of eradicating Mysterio from her life forever. On September 22, just one week after Chavo and Vickie distracted Rey by intruding on his son Dominick, the Luchador finally seemed to regain his depleted swagger and tenacity when he battled into the stands in an unadulterated slugfest with Chavo.

What will happen when the heated rivals meet in a no-rules, Falls Count Anywhere match? Will Chavo and Vickie again succeed with their mind games against Rey? Has Rey truly snapped out of his funk? Will this family feud end the same way as Shakespeare’s tale, with the protagonists both down and out for the count? Tune in to No Mercy on Oct. 8, live on pay-per-view, to find out.

For weeks now, Montel Vontavious Porter, who has made sure to trumpet himself as the one and only “MVP,” has appeared on SmackDown in Hollywood style. Flaunting his designer suits, diamond jewelry and buxom escorts, MVP has made his presence known despite having yet to step into the ring. But at No Mercy, all of that will change, as his demand of “No contract, no contact” has finally been satisfied. As SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long and MVP announced on WWE.com, MVP has finally signed his SmackDown contract after a long holdout. On October 8 in Raleigh, NC, MVP will make his in-ring debut. Who he will face remains a mystery, but the SmackDown locker room will be looking on eagerly to see if MVP can deliver on his claims. Is he worth the hype? Will he prove himself to truly be the most talented player in the game? To see MVP take his first steps toward his goal of becoming World Heavyweight Champion, tune in to No Mercy on Sunday, October 8, live on pay-per-view.

Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy are good friends, but better rivals. They have faced each other repeatedly on SmackDown in past months, trading wins back and forth, but the competitive relationship they share has existed for much longer. What will happen when this rivalry comes to No Mercy?

Since winning the WWE Tag Team Championship at Judgment Day, Paul London and Brian Kendrick have faced a multitude of challenges featuring every possible combination and stipulation SmackDown's tag team division has to offer. They have met them all with high energy and intensity and have even added the lucious Diva Ashley to their corner, proving with each match that their high-flying ability makes them capable of being a dominant team. At No Mercy, they will look to once again retain their gold against the powerful combination of KC James & Idol Stevens, who, along with the opportunistic Michelle McCool, will be out to prove that there is more than one team worthy of being called the class of the tag team division.

Can London & Kendrick survive yet another tough test? Will McCool's "Teacher's Pets" finally break through against their rivals? Find out on Oct. 8 at No Mercy, live on pay-per-view.

Still debating whether or not I should order this... since this isn't a great card by all means.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.

Hrm... okay. I'm gonna post play by play if anyone is here. I'm late for No Mercy... I didn't order it. My sister decided to order it... cuz she think I forgot.

Anyway. Just saw Vito doing jumpropes... -_- Regal started doing it "correctly" turned away, fell in paint. Now Teddy Long is coming out

Teddy says Miz has been trying to hit on a Diva and she rejected him. But she's willing to forgive him cuz it's his B-day...

Layla gives Miz a lap dance on a chair real quick. Blindfold him... lifts the present box in the ring... it's the G-string dancing fat guy from ECW... Miz enjoys it until the blindfold comes off =\

Then G-string guy and Layla dances in the ring. Waste of 5-10 minutes. Bleh. Crowd seems dead.

MVP has a pretty sweet looking entrance. Smokes like Edge, 2 squared looking poles... then it blasts out fire. He's wearing blue tights...ish.

No reaction from the crowd.
