Raw Thoughts 9-11-06

Just a few quick points!

Show started of very well, the whole 9-11 tribute was done in good taste. I would say the show was hott for almost the entire night.

The only drawback was of course DX-McMahon. It just felt flat like something we have seen a million times over and over again...

But for the most part a decent to well booked show...

a classy tribute to begin with, although having read a thread about bringing hassan back, I was worried that might actually happen.

good to see piper back. He was used perfectly in that whilst he got the pin which the crowd popped for, he basically didnt do much damage to the spirit squad

6 man tag was good. Loved hardy's line backstage when nitro kicked his painting - something along the lines of "that's my painting". Although i think hardy is starting to wear out again with his botched poetry in motion over the top. He doesn't need to wrestle every week, cos he'll just bum out again

I'm still not getting the masters-crazy thing. Maybe masters will move to smackdown. Only reason i can think for crazy being on raw is that they need some fresh jobbers on that show since there is nothing for him there

You got to feel for trish - she's worked so hard and it's coming to an end. I think she will be back in the future but only for small stints.

Mcmahon-triple H was good if mcmahon on triple H is in your name. The backstage beating was effective but the match was as interesting as the thought of a snitsky-viscera 60 minute iron man match

Overall not bad. The crowd was good, but the show was a step down from last week.

Well it would be a quality match if he didn't have to carry that 500 pound pile of crap!

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I thought RAW was a good "go-home" show for Sunday's PPV.

The opening moment of silence and Lillian's signing was a nice touch by WWE.

Umaga-Flair-Kane segment was good. I think Kane-Umaga could have a good match at the PPV if kept short.

Seeing Piper was a pleasant surprise, although I could've done without seeing his big gut in the ring.

Trish's final match on RAW was a good one. Sad to see her go but I understand why she's leaving.

Crowd was hot for the 6-man tag, although most of the chants had to do with Cena, who got a nice face pop when he came out for the match. Looks like once again, Edge is helping re-establish Cena as a face.

Edge's rap was pretty funny and I loved his mannerisms. I hope he keeps the title because the guy is money right now.

The DX thing at the end was too predictable. Guess we know who's winning the HIAC (like we didn't know before but this just confirms it) now.
