Trish's legacy

Does she have one?

Is she still going to be remembered (beyond the quality of her body) in a few years time?

What were your favourite moments in her career?

Do you think she'll ever be back?

And so on......

She's the only woman I can think of in wrestling that is on the same level as most of the men as far as what she brings to the individual shows and the company as a whole.

I know people will say, well.. they can just find someone else but if they really could they wouldn't be paying her so damn much. She's one of a kind. I think Mickie and Melina both have bright futures but just not on Trish's level.

So yeah, she'll be remembered for more then just her body I believe.

I do think we'll see her again also. I can see her coming in and doing some short storylines here and there, I really think she's only semi-retiring.

Unlike most of the useless bitches they have on their roster, Trish loves wrestling, so she'll be back for some stints in the future.

It's sad for us wrasslin' fans that she's going.

When I think of her, I just think of her ability to learn (pretty quickly too). When she came in I remember her first promo being god awful, but there came a point over the next couple of years where you just started thinking "she can actually work a little as well".

Her acting wasn't horrible, especially in the face turn against Vince and the heel turn against Jericho. Personally, I preferred her as a heel.

I guess Chyna (for those that remember her) was more "over" in a different time frame, but Trish is maybe a future HoF'er for her work for the group.

The one thing I think her career missed out on, was a genuine wrestling rivalry. They came close at one stage with Victoria, another lady that could "go" in the ring, but I still wish they had bought over on 6 month deals one or two of the top Japanese workers. There super stiff style and athleticism would have helped Trish to be seen in my eyes as not just a "good" female worker, but an excellent one, as I'm sure she would have risen to that challenge

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. Good post, Blitz. Only thing I'd add is that Lita was instrumental in helping take Trish to the next level, as they had perhaps the best women's division feud of all-time.

Wow, I kind of always assumed the retirement was just a bunch of BS. Like, she'd be gone for a month, and then be right back. I guess not?

What are you looking at? What? You've never seen a kid in a wheelchair? I'll run you over!

There was a huge article on WWE.com about Trish’s retirement where she gave every possible reason for the decision except that she was getting married.

“My decision to leave was purely to take care of me time. Those other things are fun and I enjoy the challenge, but I’m really looking forward to just getting up in the morning, having breakfast at home, enjoying a family barbecue or going to my nephew’s hockey games.”

I guess they have to kayfabe her marriage in case she ever comes back.

Either that or she's not really getting married and the reports were just based off assumptions

I think WWE.com is not mentioning the whole marriage thing because it'd upset too many fans. Divas are better viewed as hot and single. Not hot, but taken for good.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.

I thought the WWE confirmed the marriage? or am I trippin?

Sometimes I get the Internet and the WWE news mixed up.

They allow every other diva to confirm relationships.
