Smackdown House Show Results 9/10/06

Hey Guys, this is what I sent to pwinsider.com and I'm relaying it here. It was an awesome show and I will try to get pics up soon.

The place was almost full tonight and it was neat
being at the special HD tapings because they went all
out with having the Smackdown set, pyro, and even some
backstage segments. I was a little surprised that
they went all out even knowing about the HD tapings.

Krystal came out and she was the ring announcer

Dark Match:
Scotty 2 Hotty defeating Jamie Noble

WWE Intro and Smackdown Intro with pyro

WWE Crusierweight Championship:
Gregory Helms defeating Jimmy Yang

WWE Tag Team Championships:
London and Kendrick defeating Idol and James
(No Michelle McCool)

Terkay defeating Tatanka

I think at this point, there was a backstage segment
with King Booker telling his royal cabinet to be ready
against Rey tonight. Teddy Long comes into picture
and says that Booker will defend the World Heavyweight
Title against Rey and that Regal and Finlay are banned
from ringside.

Ashley wins a best body pose against Kristal, Jillian,
and Layla with M.V.P. doing the announcing during it.
He said he had no problem doing it even though he
wasn't under contract with Smackdown.

Backstage, Chavo comes up to Booker and begins to talk
to him about his match with Rey.

Regal defeating Vito

Ashley defeats Jillian

A segment is showned that Lashley is coming out next.

United States Championship:
Kennedy defeats Finlay and Lashley

World Heavyweight Championship:
Rey Mysterio defeated King Booker via DQ

Chavo runs out and the ref catches him hitting Rey.

All in all, it was a fun show, a lot better then what
I read at last night's show. I think it was fun since
they had the full production going. I'll send you
guys a report from the Smackdown tapings from
Worcester on Tuesday night. Thanks again for all that
you do.

It sounded like a good show and that you had a good time. I might be willing to go to a house show if they go through all the trouble like they did for that.

Did they announg Yang as "Jimmy Wang Yang" or "Jimmy Wayne Yang"?

Thanks airr for the report. I was just wondering... do people still bring signs to house shows considering it won't even have a 1% change of being on TV?

For regular TV shows... I mean, that's understandable. People want their signs on TV. But for house shows... do they still bring them? Unless wrestlers read them or something.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.

Seems strange to have cameras and backstage skits and storylines in a house show.

I can't decide if I like that idea or not. I think I do. And I'm sober

It does seem strange, but it's also future advertising for ppl who know house shows mean nothing.

Mark1: I'm not going to a lame ass house show.

Mark2: No last time they had camera's, backstage action, and all that stuff they do on tv!

Mark1: Hmmmmmm......

Now gimme reps, a lot of thought went into the names for these guys.

Well, its not really lame if they are trying to tape it in HD. They want to see what a normal Smackdown would look like in HD. I can understand why they did it.

Yes, people still bring signs to house shows.

That sounds like a better than usual house show. Thanks for the report also. Nice little suprise for everyone going who thought it'd be a usual no thrills house show.
