Eh, thought it was pretty boring until the main event.

Edge/Cena Promo - Just to advertise Unforgiven. Nothing worth nothing.

Jeff Hardy vs Johnny Nitro - Love how athletic Johnny Nitro is. This guy is amazing and will only get better. No titles changing hands was obvious. Loved the way Melina just grabbed the ref to stop him from counting. I still remember when she was on Smackdown. She just crawled in the ring, and screamed at the ref. The ref got startled and stopped counting. Hilarious stuff!

Trish/Lita/Orton/Carlito backstage segment - Good stuff. Involved all 4 who all have matches at the PPV.

Masters vs Super Crazy - WWE... why!? Quit taking Smackdown guys and putting them on RAW. But in this case, Super Crazy should be asking "why!?" Sure, Super Crazy hasn't been on Smackdown the past month or so... but this guy needs the Cruiserweight division. There's nothing for him on RAW. They gave Super Crazy the win, that's fine... but that does nothing for Super Crazy, and hurts Chris Masters. Smart booking..!

Vince/Shane/Show/DX Promo - Wow. This was boring. Even though the McMahons only talked a few minutes along with Show... it was really nothing we haven't seen or heard before. DX came out... zzz. I got the point that they were suppose to be pissed, but their lack of energy just standing at the titantron ramp really didn't work for me. Attacking the fake security with chairs and sledgehammers weren't believeable at all either.

Highlanders vs Cade/Murdoch vs Viscera/Haas - You gotta be kidding me. How predictable can the WWE get? I hate to bag at them so much, since I watch their product... but if you put this match on the card, who the hell would you think will win!? At least it was kept short. JR explained the rules that only 2 men should be in the ring at the same time, and you can tag any team. Apparently, Rory didn't know the freaking rules as he stayed "down" in the ring and got up to attack while he's not the legal man. The finish was unique (and we've seen it recently too), but again... predictable winners.

Flair/Umaga/Kane Promo - This felt like a promo to kill time. But it worked out good, as it promoted Kane vs Umaga at Unforgiven.

Cryme Time Promo - Pretty decent. I didn't laugh, but I'll give it another few weeks before I can warm up to them. But THIS is how new wrestlers should debut.

6 Person Tag. Cena/Carlito/Trish vs Edge/Orton/Lita - Before I comment about the match... I wanted to say I hated this match when it was booked earlier tonight on RAW. Edge/Cena already had their thing to open the show. This could have been the opportunity for fans to get more hyped for Orton vs Carlito and Lita vs Trish. But after seeing the match... I changed my mind.

This was a good match. The crowd waking up from the dead probably helped that. With the "Let's go Edge" and "Let's go Cena" chants. Hell, there was even a "Carlito" chant when he was being worked on! Good fast paced match. Nice job keeping Edge/Cena and Orton/Carlito away from each other most of the match. No need to give things away for free right? Carlito saving Trish from the Spear was great... but then the RKO was a surprise! Trish took it perfectly, well done. Good finish to a mostly boring RAW.

Can't wait for Smackdown.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.

Overall, it was a pretty good raw - not perfect but then again even during the glory days of the attitude era, no raw was perfect either. Crowd was good for most of raw I thought and it seemed like a fast two hours to me. The unforgiven card excites me more than the Summerslam Card mainly because of this raw.

-edge cuts great promos. It's the little things that make him good like the "oh my" refernce to tlc, and ripping on cena comparing him to an ape. Cena is damn strong to toss edge over his head like that

-hardy-nitro was good for the start of a feud. The crowd ate into the finish huge considering its "only" the IC title which has seen some rough times. Can't help but feel sorry for benjamin, who in my eyes, should be on raw weekly

-seriously, i know it's been said twice here already but why oh why is Super Crazy on Raw and why did masters job? I hope that the WWE writers do their usual thing and expect us to forget this ever happen and put crazy back on smackdown and masters going back to his wiining ways (or losing to higher card wrestlers). Maybe masters might end up on smackdown to bolster up the cruiserweight division? - heck WWE writers have done worse

-triple threat tag was nothing special but at least there are some tag teams on raw now. especially with cryme tyme coming. But if they are a heel team, that leaves one face team on raw in the highlanders (btw i'm not counting duggan and eugene on purpose) with about 4 heel teams. exciting!

-dx-macmahons - short(ish) hence it wasnt all bad

-felt bad for maria kissing someone who could have retired before she was even born. She should have been kissing me! Liked her backstage clips of watching paint dry. CM Punk is one lucky dude!

-6 man tag was pretty good. That's what a raw main event should be like! Trish deserves to go in the hall of fame definitely and so does lita because she plays the heel role so well! On a subtle note, the interaction between cena and edge and carlito and orton was kept quite minimal overall. The build up for trish's final match by JR and King is pretty awesome IMO

I thought Raw sounded like it did a pretty good job in progressing the feuds they have for the next PPV, though I didn't see the show itself. I just don't think the cycle they are in though is ever going to bring more PPV numbers in than the hardcore committed that buy them pretty much every month.

The promo for the black criminals sounded frikkin horrible. I don't know why creative aim their humour so lowbrow. It's never ever possible to be remotely "public" about your love of wrestling when the shows and their storylines are so juvenile and embarassing.

Quick hits,


Nitro-Hardy was a very good match. Nitro has what it takes to be a legit main event in the future. I still think at some point he needs to distance himself from Melina, becasue both of them have the chance to be very successful individually.

Edge promo to start Raw was totally flat and boring. I didn't like it at all.

Trish-Lita-Orton-Carlito segment was good and I like Trish's reference to the "Rock" maybe a chance he will come back. (doubt it)


Triple Threat tag team match, i liked it that the right team won, but other than that just dull.


DX-McMahon stuff, getting old and stale.


Main Event match, Ok this saved the entire show to me.If this match sucked then the entire night would have been a total waste. The crowd was red hott for this, and Cena is wayyy over in Atlanta. Good exchange between Trish & Lita. Edge and Cena were kept apart somewhat. Carlito-Orton worked well together.. Overall the crowd made this match better...
