Favorite Storyline?

Out of all of the years you have been watching wrestling, do you have a storyline that just kinda sticks out in your mind? A favorite of yours.

-The Invasion?

-Austin turns heel?

-NWO= Poison

Well? Do you have a favorite?

I think what sticks outta' my mind the most may be the Invasion.
Mostly because there were so many ppl from WcW/ECW that I wanted to see in WWF/E.
It was an awesome angle, but didn't go down THAT great, at least I got to see my favorites of the time (Booker T, Chuck Polumbo, Rhyno, ect.) be a part of a WWE ring.

Now, well everyones just a part of the WWE/ECW...but it was alright while it lasted.

Remember the Spyda, dude ..

It is hard for me to just pick one. So I will just list some that stick out in my mind.

-The Invasion: Prolly the biggest thing that has ever happened in Sports Entertainment. Though argubly the most ''let down'' storyline ever, it still has a lot of great moments in my mind. I think the reason it gets hate on so much is because the storyline is just so huge, everyone has there own way on what they think should of happened.

- The Ministry of Darkness: I always enjoy storylines with stables forming and people turning heel or face. When this story line was going on you just never knew what was going to happen next. They kept everyone guessing. (something that is very rare now days) I loved how it was the Ministry vs. The Corporation. Then the big shocker with Vince being the higher power. Then it was the whole Corporate Ministry. Classic.

- Stone Cold & Vince McMahon Fued: I just love the idea of boss vs. employer. It is just entertainment. We all wish for th emost part that we could be like austin on the way he treats his boss. They had some funny moments, and also some shocking. I just loved every minute of it.

- Matt Hardy Returns: Not sure what to say about this one. Hardy gets fired cause of the edge/lita situation, a few months later hardy shows up on raw, is it real? what just happen? Then they have some good matches and the rest is history.

Hart Foundation: heels in the U.S., faces everywhere else. #1 angle of all time, I'd say even a hair above original NWO, but just a hair.

You're mixing your Taker/Austin feuds up Dak. The Highway to Hell SummerSlam '98 feud was built around them being a tag team and feuding with Kane & Mankind mainly. They did the usual tag team break up a week or two before 'Slam and then had their match there. The crucifixion angle came later when Taker was heading up the Ministry.

My favourite feuds are the ones that are given time to build but generally quite simple. For example, Michaels & Jericho who started flapping their gums at each other at the start of December but didn't have a match until Wrestlemania. Lot's of good interaction and use of history and then to top it off a match that stole the show.

I liked the simple and drawn out storyline involving Kurt, Hunter and Steph when Kurt just arrived. Lot's of pretty good acting (by WWE standards). It's a shame with this one that the blow off sucked so much. A seven or eight month build to just have the pay off it got was ridiculous.

Rock and Austin at WM17 had a terrific build too. Good use of their history, for once good use of one of the wrestlers spouses, again leading to an absolutely incredible match.

I guess kudos to WCW as well for their build to Sting and Hogan at Starrcade (forget....maybe '97??). A feud that was allowed to build up for a year. Terrible finish to it, but great feud.

One that springs to mind for me was the bret hart-michaels build towards WM12. I was only about 11 at the time but it got me excited just to see what they had to say about each other, their training vignettes and the way they didnt interact with each other until WM12. The last time I got into a match like that was benoit-angle Royal rumble although Rock-Austin WM17 build up was damn good too.

In regards to Angles with good build up, the Rock vs Lesner had some great hype showing their training styles etc.
