Smark? Mark? How Can You Tell?

What is a smark? In essence, i wouldnt say im a smark. Im an internet fan yes, but not a smark.

I see a smark as a person who likes to draw on the negatives of the show and just bitch about them (internet fan or not). Whereas a mark can be defined as someone who just gets lost in a show to be entertained and/or someone who is always acknowledgeing or applauding the positives.

But yeah its really a difficult term for me to really define. What do you think?

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I think the definition of a smark used to be "internet fan".. People who supposedly knew more about the business or the backstage politics then your average fan, but now that everyone is on the net, I think the meaning has changed..

I think a smark now is someone who just thinks they know everything there is to know about wrestling, they bash everything that's WWE, they praise Japanese wrestling all the time, I could go on and on.. You'd know the type I'm talking about.. I attended an ROH show and as good as the show was, most of the place was littered with smarks.

I think theres just too many different types of wrestling fans, i mean seriously theres still kids out there who think Kane is his real name. I'm online reading different rumor websites and on here and on wwe.com and all that so i know all that crap going on and then i'll go to work and theres a guy who watches every now and then and doesnt even know when an injury is real or part of a storyline. But he'd know Kane isnt the guys real name... so really... who cares??? I've been watching wrestling since i was 3 or 4 and i'm 24 now, I just consider myself a wrestling fan.

I bash WWE from time to time but there are also times when I'll praise them and I'll do the same with TNA.

A mark is what the wrestlers call wrestling fans who watch wrestling and get excited about storylines. (sometimes wrestlers joke around when they see something they like saying they are marking out)

A Smark is a smart mark who is just a mark but just knows a lot about wrestling. And who may know more about the backstage stuff then normal regular marks.
