How long has it been since HHH held the WWE Title?

Correct me if I'm wrong... but HHH is a 10 time champion right? (I think it's 5 time WWE Champion and 5 time World Heavyweight Champion) And... just 6 shy of tying Ric Flair?

I remember back when HHH was the champion, everyone pretty much crapped on him for not dropping his belt. Now that you think about it, how long has it been since he last held it? Has it been way over a year? If not, it sure feels like it.

But I was just thinking about the WWE Title tonight and that stupid spinner belt that WWE won't get rid of. I mean, who have been the contenders for the WWE Title for the past year? Cena, Edge, RVD?

So if HHH were to beat Cena. I think he definitely won't be holding the dumb spinner belt anymore... and if he did, it might look ridiculous on him. Perhaps that is finally when the regular WWE Title will come back. What do you guys think?

Its been more then a year. He lost it to Batista at last year's Wrestlemania.

HHH doesn't need the belt but it sure seems like everyone wanted him to win it off of Cena at Wrestlemania.

Lets all face it. Most smarks are fucking dumb as hell. They shit on HHH when he was champion... Who'd you want to fucking win it? Steiner? Nash? I've said it a million times, only Booker T was in position to where he could have had a solid title reign and that's even arguable..

Now people want him as champion because they don't like Cena or Edge or whoever.. To these people I just say, Shut the fuck up already..

They'll never be happy.

Fact is, HHH doesn't need the title right now, so I'm fine with him not having it but If he did win it, he'd deserve it.

It's been a year and 5 months I believe since he's had it, but look.. He still gets his air time as does Cena and Edge so it all works out.

I haven't been hearing anyone asking for Hunter to get the belt back. Most people that I speak to are happy for it to be on Edge at the moment. He's the guy that needs it and is doing a cracking job with it too

First, despite what WWE tells us, Flair is not a 16 time world champion. He is actually a 22 time world champion: 10 NWA, 8 WCW, 2 WCW International, 2 WWF.

It's been about 4 1/2 years since Triple H won the WWE Championship(remember that it was World Heavyweight Championship Triple H lost to Batista, not the WWE Title).

I agree with most of your comments, Blitz. But, I will say that I think Triple H should've dropped the title to Goldberg at the Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam '03. Triple H had a pulled groin and didn't work all but 5 minutes of that match and Goldberg was really starting to get over with the fans at this point and at SummerSlam the crowd was going crazy when he busted out of his holding cell and started cleaning house...to have Triple H will cheaply (I believe Evolution interfered) killed a lot of Goldberg's momentum, I believe, especially since everyone knew Triple H was injured at the time.

I can't say I totally disagree with that from a booking standpoint, but from a personal standpoint, I never cared much for Goldberg.

I'll admit it did look kind of weak how HHH won that match, and I'll even admit that I was excited to see a couple Goldberg matches in his return, especially the one against The Rock at Backlash which I attended..

I'm glad he didn't renew his contract though..
