I can only post based on what I read, but:

Chavo vs. Rey. It looks like Vickie might be turning heel by tripping Rey and costing him the match.

DX vs. The McMahons. An odd brawl before the match, and Kane barely did anything. This feud has gone on long enough.

Booker/Batista. Nice way to go, Booker holds onto the title while Batista looked strong. Booker also gurantees that he will not have the shortest WHT reign(tomorrow will mark 29 days as champ, beating HBK and Orton's mark of 28 days).

Edge/Cena. I am glad they didn't have the hometown hero win. I thought Edge would try to get Cena to accidently get himself DQ'd.

Flair/Foley sounded good.

Big Show/Sabu sounded like it went as well as it could considering who was in it.

Overall it sounded pretty mediocre.

Edge retained.

That is good.

Saw it in the theater and i coudlnt hear a single thing that happened. I dont know if it was just the theater i was in or if it was the PPV in general but it sucked. So some things didnt make sense but aside from that, it was a good PPV. Most of the matches acutally were better without being able to hear the commentary, all we could hear was the crowd which made a lot of the matches much much better, espeically the Raw matches.
Mainly Edge kept the belt which is awesome, and the shot he gave Cena looked brutal.

Ahhhh...the 300th Post!! Bound to be something special from day one, no doubt!!

I'm going to post my predictions along with my thoughts on the matchups...just to see how on or off par I was with certain things.

WWE Championship
Edge vs. John Cena

John Cena picks up the win...as stated, the Marine is hitting theaters soon & the program will continue with Edge.

Well...I stand corrected. Mark my words, that title will be around Cena's waist my the time his crap movie hits theaters. I expected at least one title change tonight...maybe we'll see it at RAW with Booker costing Edge the match for having to be his servant. Who knows. I did not stay around to watch this one...I cannot stand Cena. Word Life my friends, Word Life.

World Heavyweight Championship
King Booker vs. Batista

Booker T picks up the win with outside interference from Kennedy. I think that for the next few weeks & possibly months, we'll see Kennedy positioned as the "thorn" in the side of Batista.

Had a feeling Booker would retain here. If I was disappointed with the finish of any matches at this PPV, this would be it...Sharmell running into the ring?? I mean, come on. Should've had her start sneaking in the ring, have Booker positioned for the sitout powerbomb, and then have his attention shift to her...have him drop Booker to approach her, grab her, Sharmell slaps Batista & as he turns have Booker hit him with the scissor kick.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Orton

Alot of people are expecting to see Hogan take the win here. As much as I hate to say it, Randy Orton should take home the win at Summerslam. But he won't.
Hogan is your winner. Post match, I'd expect to see Orton go after the Hulkster's bum knee & set up a rematch for a later date...this way, Hogan keeps his ego in tact & Orton can still cut promos in the meantime about having "killed Hulkamania".

Better than I thought for sure!! EVERYONE at the bar FREAKED OUT when Hogan came out...it was a good match & delivered. When his bandana came off, I kind of hoped Orton would slip it on and mock Hogan...ah well. Overall, Orton comes out looking better than a squash by Hogan & it leaves the door open for this program to continue.

I Quit Match
Mick Foley vs. Ric Flair

Everyone & their brother expects to see Foley pick up the win...it would follow WWE logic. For argument's sake, I'm picking
Ric Flair. I think the tables will turn and Foley will be the one demanding a rematch from Flair in the weeks to follow...this is a well-drawing feud & it could be milked for one or two more big PPV matches.

Sometimes it just feels SO good to be right. I do believe I was the one and only here to pick Flair to come out victorious here!! It'd been awhile since I saw two guys get THAT bloodied up in a match...it's what I had been looking forward to, and given that Foley had creative control of the match, I loved that he dominated the first few minutes (this coming from someone that cannot stand Foley). Flair popping Foley in the corner with the barbed wire around his hand...ahhh, just great stuff. Definitely makes me want to see these two go at it at least one more time.

ECW Championship
The Big Show vs. Sabu

Big Show has torn through RAW & Smackdown's biggest names. They won't have him lose the strap on a PPV that both of those shows headline. I'd expect to see a title change at MSG, which Heyman's supposedly trying to push hard. Funny that Angle got pulled out on Tuesday...I see him playing an impact in this match.
Big Show retains.

Caught the ass end of this one. No question that Show would retain, and despite a botched spot, I still thought it illustrated a toned down "extreme" style for the average fan. MIGHT just get a few people to tune into Sci-Fi.

D-Generation X vs. The McMahons

It's a shame DX hasn't brought in a new member to the group. If they're supposed to be so clever and tricky, you'd think that since the name leaves it wide open to encompass more people, they'd take advantage of it. Umaga will get involved with this one on behalf of the McMahons, but Triple H & Shawn Michaels will get their payback on him and take home the win for
DX.

Second favorite match on this card. Granted, it was shameless McMahon self-promotion by putting themselves one match shy of the main event, but still great psychology behind it. Great to see them call out Spirit Squad, only to have them get crushed...and as for Finlay, Regal & Kennedy...good way to put over Smackdown's top heels. I really did a double take at first. And the McMahons ripping off classic tag team moves...ENTERTAINMENT. These guys are known for just ripping off other superstar's moves, so it was a nice touch. Hopefully this ends the McMahon/DX drama, and we can see DX focus on exempting some revenge on Finlay & Show, possibly costing one of them their titles for a little interpromotional warfare.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio

This had some strong potential, but didn't have enough time or push behind it to make it a great match. Chavo should've cut his promo the night he attacked Rey at the PPV...but we all had to HAIL KING BOOKER so it didn't happen. It's a transition match, which is going to be the first of a few for these two guys, with
Chavo Guerrero taking round one. Side note: would anyone else like to see Vickie Guerrero make a heel turn & side with Chavo against Rey?

Missed this one completely. The first Buffalo Wild Wings we hit was standing room only, so we drove 15 minutes to go catch it somewhere else. From what I read on it though, looks like I might've caught the inside track on Vickie Guerrero siding with Chavo.

Some Random Diva Filler

Surprised it hasn't been announced as of yet. Either way, I do not care.

Last but not least, Layla getting ripped backstage. You knew the divas would be there. Would've liked to see some senseless T&A, but it allowed more time for some of the better matchups...and in the end, I was right...after it was over with, I did not care about the diva filler one bit.

ALL IN ALL, I really enjoyed this PPV quite a bit more than I thought I would. I hear some negative criticism, but I'd rank it up in the three stars range. Foley/Flair was just a hoot to watch...I'll never get tired of seeing Flair don the crimson mask. First time in awhile that I can say this, but WELL DONE WWE, WELL DONE.

What theater did you see it in?

Good review Rated R!!

-:mad:Im very disappointed that Hogan dident let Orton take the win, what a bastard, someone needs to lay the smackdown on his candy ass...pass the torch already you old SOB!!!

-:happy:Booker and Edge retain...I was worried that Cena would once again be Champ and I would like to see Booker hold the title for a little while yet because Batista held the title for a year before he took time off, a little longer won't hurt his career.

-:ermmX wins, ok enough with this fued. Well looks like Umaga vs Kane is just around the corner.....I wonder why he hates him so much?

-:frown:I can't believe Ric took another win over Foley.....Foleys most over Jobber in Wrestling History.

The show was awesome. Of course, I was there live.

They showed a sweet WWE 24/7 montage beforehand.

Dark Match: Carlito defeated Rob Conway with the backcracker.

Rey Vs Chavo:
I went to the bathroom before this match started so I came back and it was a really good match. Vickie at first hit Chavo in the face and then she pulled Rey from the turnbuckle so she could go either way. Rey started to get some boos towards the end.

Sabu Vs Big Show:
The crowd was over huge for Big Show which kind of pissed me off. I was cheering for Sabu and he had some cool spots but you knew he was going to go through the table.

Hogan Vs Orton:
If you have never seen Hulk Hogan live, then you are missing out, this was my first time and it was awesome. Such an atmosphere, and I was really hoping Orton won but I saw the foot on the rope but I was hoping the ref wouldn't but he did and restarted the fight.

Batista Vs King Booker
I went to get a drink after the entrances and Batista's pyro is the loudest out of all of them. I was happy to see Sharmell interfere to give Batista the win via DQ. Since Booker won, I thought Cena would win but I was proved wrong there.

DX Vs McMahons:
I thought it was cool to see all of the runins, the audio on the DX sketch before hand was missing at the beginning so I had no clue what was going on. I was just happy to see Mr. Kennedy, Regal, and Finlay. It was a decent match and it gave some guys some paydays for being on the show.

Edge Vs Cena:
Cena was over with the crowd. I went up with 4 friends and we would be booing Cena and this little kid in front of me kept turning behind to wonder why I would boo his hero. This was an awesome match and I knew when Edge put something down his pants that it was brass knuckles and he would win. There were some few Cena Sucks chants but not that many. It was funny to see all of the kids so dissapointed that Cena lost that it made my night, we were high fiving and it was awesome.

In conclusion, Summerslam was worth the 60 bucks I spent to see it live.

Rey vs Chavo was a good wrestling match but i was too uneasy watchign it. Especially seeing Vickie Guerrero out there. I know, that all three of them are ok with the story, so why should i someone who only met Eddie once but still loved the man as a performer and person be so negative about it. Its no so much negativity just discomfort. Its hard to watch to be honest.

I dont watch Smackdown, so when i saw Booker T backstage in his skit with Edge, i laughed my ass off. Booker is incredibly entertaining, that accent is hilarious.....SQUIRE!

Sabu is getting sloppier. I was really warming to him, but its as if his match quality keeps slipping down. Botched spots arent helping ECW. Big Show is great though in his role as heel ECW Champ.

Who the hell picked this Layla girl to win the Diva Search? Shame on you America, shame on you....btw there was a nice line between Trish and Ashley when she was saying that Layla wasnt a Diva just because she won a diva search.

Hogan Orton was a good match. But i cant help but think it did nothing for Orton. 3rd match on the card, he didnt win and he didnt even get to beat down Hogan. Instead boring posedown closed out the match again. Nice tease with the foot on the ropes though

Foley vs Washed Up Piece of Crap was a good match. It was bloody, it was brutal. Now im upset that Foley said "I Quit." But because it wasnt something that Flair did to him, i can live with it and not to live up to my boycott. Hopefully and really it should happen, Flair now goes Heel. Foley is acting the face by far. Plus im falling in love with melina. Love by association

Booker Batista was what it was. Not great but did the job. Looks like their continuing to No mercy. i dont mind. They need a stipulation though. Ive also got to say here, i love JBL on commentary. Hes a real old school heel on the mic and it makes for a great dynamic.

I really enjoyed the DX McMahons contest. As i did, like seeing Kennedy, Regal, Finlay and Big Show! act as "resources". It was an enjoyable match and was uniquely structured. Gotta love the SCM counter to the Van Terminator.

Im so glad won the main. No matter how, Edge is still the champ and that makes me a happy panda.

I really enjoyed Summerslam. Just a real solid card with very little down spots. Unforgiven could be really good.

I wish my sex life was like ECW, first you get a One Night Stand followed by 2 months of nostalgic orgasms and then 6 months of constant sucking.

I did not see SS, but from what I did read, it seems like it was decent show. Gald to see that both Booker T & Edge retained their respective titles...
