However, in the interests of being morbid and keeping things interesting (!) who would your money be on if you had to pick 3 members of the Raw roster that "failed" the tests?? Any of them on the SummerSlam card??

There have actually been a couple of tests and no one has failed. Lance Storm had a theory on Figure Four Daily that was as good as any. The Smackdown crew got tested first. Several guys, including Lashley, had liver enzyme issues. Lashley was retested a week later, and even though his liver enzyme level had been “dangerously high”, in the retest he was back to normal. The Raw side wasn’t tested until AFTER Lashley’s second test result came back. In other words, the Raw crew basically got a two week warning to get off whatever they had to get off to get back to normal, and since it only took Lashley a week, they basically had a bonus week. In other words, after Smackdown got tested, you’d have to have been fantastically stupid to have failed. Nobody in ECW failed either. The word is that nearly everyone has gotten off everything with the exception of marijuana, which the company is not going to test for.

There were RAW drug tests failures, several of them in fact, including Randy Orton. Basically, test failures used to be public knowledge within the company because if you failed a test, you were off TV for 30 days. The writers had to know because shows had to be re-written, the wrestlers had to know because programs and opponents were changed, etc. However, once all the Smackdown guys failed and Great American Bash got totally fucked up, Vince McMahon made the decision to change the policy. Now, the first failure is 30 days without pay and the second failure is 60 days without pay. No word on whether or not a third failure is still termination. Back in the day, Scott Hall failed dozens of tests and was never fired!! The guys will have their road expenses paid for (the irony!) if they work house shows, but that’s it. Orton got pulled from house shows the last two weekends which is how he got fingered for failing (and many in Depending upon where you are on the card, this can really bite you in the wallet. Rob Van Dam, for example, apparently lost five figures during his 30 days off in July. So anyway, now that nobody is being taken off TV, nobody has to know who failed and things are being kept super quiet.
