I liked the opening two segments featuring the saga between ECW Originals Dreamer and Sandman against Heyman, Knox, Test and the Bashams. It took two simple wrestling concepts (the beatdown and the handicap match) and told those stories and concepts in a unique way, with the flowing nature of it. Sandman entering just as the commercial kicks in and then the following Heyman promo was good. Heyman as the slimeball cult leader is realing working well. And Tommy Dreamer should be a freakin' author. Boy, can he sell a story or what!

Um why doesn't Al Snow have Head? I know Test booted it into the crowd but come on....thats Al's whole gimmick....oh and Kevin Thorn isnt half bad. The gimmick is unique and i like it. Still not completely convinced of the in-rill department yet though.


I love ECW promos. Punk's, Angle's and Sabu's were succint but so very effective. Ive grown to accept that Sabu will talk. And CM is my Punkin hero.

Big Show came out. His interview didn't really seem to have real purpose. And he duplicated the threat Angle amde to Sabu about suicide. I smell an Angle heel turn, any moment. Angle and Big Show will form an alliance me thinks.

Angle and Sabu was pretty good. I think it was a little too much in Angle's favour at times, but Sabu still looked impressive. I've really grown on Sabu (as i have Sandman, Dreamer and other Originals as well).

And then RVD's triumphant return.......and he screwed it up. I havent laughed so hard in quite a while. He goes to hit his signature Van Daminator and misses quite clearly....and Kurtski sold it as if he were a deer going down from a hunter's bullet. And then RVD predictably took out Sabu as well. Me thinks Fatal Four Way will be ECW's contribution to Summerslam.

Overall a pretty good show. I was disappointed Punk didnt wrestle but ill live. RVD screwing up made my day

(I dont dislike the guy, actually quite a fan, but by god it was hilarious.)

P.S Ironic moment #01: "Sabu's too sloppy and isnt really that great." - My Brother, A diehard Jeff Hardy Fan. (Personally i love both guys, but really you cant really say that sentence given Jeff's similar high risk style)

I was pissed that there was no CM Punk match but I was going to be even more pissed if we didn't see him but I liked his promo. I don't think we saw "The Rejected Prince of Punk" either so that was a mistake as well. I think they are eventually going to have to get 2 hours.

I think it is proven now with TNA and now ECW that you can't run a solid show on only 1 hour.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed and laughed at how much RVD botched that Van Terminator.

I thought it was pretty good. Kevin Thorn does have a pretty good gimmick, but he's not much better in the ring than when he was Mordecai. His girl(I can't remember her name at the moment) his pretty hot though.
