I HAAAAAAAAATE him! He's so bad! His insight is so piss poor, he isn't funny when he needs to be, he puts no logic behind why he supports the heels in matches.. basically, he's the Anti-Tazz.

I love JBL as a character, but as a commentator, he blows. Sorry Bradshaw.

I want Nova as commentator!

Lol, well I don't really watch too much of SD, but I hear he's pretty good aside from when he's doing the way too obvious cheap race heat gags.

I've never heard Nova/Dean on colour so I've no idea how good he'd be.

i really like him... he is funny and he is just not a heel on the mic...and he says some shit that i can not belive they let him say...i hope he stays on the mic.

Ok.. can someone explain to me why he's so good on colour?

Take the Bash for example. He pissed me off when Booker T came out, rabbling on about how great a king he was and comparing him to Attila the Hun and all this stupid crap. In the tag match, he couldn't think of any other phrase than "Ground and pound" to describe the Pitbull's offence, which is awful coming from a guy being paid to talk.

He ALWAYS rips on faces for what appears like no reason, and only gives them props when forced by Cole. He loves the heels no matter what (Which works in a way based on his JBL character, but as a supposed unbiased commentator, I don't like it). and I guess I just don't like him on colour. Give me Tazz and Styles on SD!

He is the heel commentator. He gets paid to talk bad about the face and good about the heel. He is making you mad so he is doing a good job so far.

Why is supposedly unbiased???

He's shamefully biased, and quite rightly since he's the heel colour commentator opposite the vanilla face play by play guy.

Tazz had his way of doing things and, particular with good in ring wrestlers, Tazz is excellent since he explains what they are doing, the holds, how they hurt etc very well. He's playing to his strengths.

JBL is comedy heel value and he's playing to his strength as well. Besides, many of the best colour guys were bolt on heels down the years. Lawler was excellent heel colour before he started tweening and becoming a cliche parody of himself with all his "puppies" crap. Jesse Ventura and Bobby Heenan always did their best work as heel colours as well. I don't see why he is meant to be "unbiased" (supposedly).

If you don't like him, then you don't like him, we all have our own favourites, but I quite like the sound of the guy in this role and, let's face it, anything that keeps him out of the ring has got to be good, lol.

I liked Bradshaw enough but didn't care much for JBL.
As far as John Commentator Layfield goes, I'm starting to miss Tazz.

I can't really say it better than Bulldog, but I think JBL is a good color commentator. A color commentator doesn't have to be unbiased, most color commentators in wrestling are in fact heels.

He may not have the knowledge of Tazz, but he knows why wrestler do the stuff they do in a match and is entertaining(at least to me).

Totally agree with you here. If you hate a certain heel... then they did their job nicely. They're suppose to make you hate them! Which is why I find it so funny when people used to be like... "Those damn Corporate Ministry"... or something like that.

JBL is awesome on the mic. He makes me laugh, and that is great.

You can't seriously say Tazz was unbiased. He still had his heelish role too, don't forget. Like when Melina screams, it's "suppose" to be annoying for the good guys. But Tazz goes, "Shut up Cole, this is the best part". Sure, Tazz is detailed and such when he explains the moves and whatnot.

But just take the King. Would you say he's horrible? He doesn't explain ANYTHING. He just loves to scream "Puppies!" and "I hate ECW!" But even then, I don't hate the King. He's good in his own way, and he and JR just click.

If anything, JR is the biggest biased commentator. He goes for the faces like crazy... and that's what Cole does as well. That's the wrestling business. One face and one heel commentator.

Don't you always notice how when there is a guest commentator (one of the wrestler), it depends on who it is? Like if it's Mr. Kennedy going to the announce table, he'll shake Tazz's hand and not Cole. Or when Booker went to talk, he would insult the hell out of Cole. That's how it always was.

I'm more of a Smackdown fan than RAW.
