Rep Power: 3 ![]() | Well. I'm still recuperating from that finish. What a poorly designed end to a potentialy great main event. Typical WWE linear thinking: Push SS big matches with no consideration whatsoever for the other guys (who believe it or not will also be on the card) There are some points i'd like to adress: 1) The Highlanders were sure to get the gold in my opinion. But all this talk about SS spliting up and kenny already being in line for a major push backfired and they turned things around at the last minute. And i'm ok with that. There's nothing wrong with keeping a certain degree of unpredictability, or at least trying to, in this day and age where the internet rules and anyone can get the inside scoop. Tough luck for Robbie and Rory but i'm sure they eventually will get the gold. 2) I have to hand it to Umaga fans (TooCool in particular). I didn't care for him much when he just went out there to do his 2 minute thing but both last week and this week they're depthning his persona. He's not like Mike Knox or Test anymore. He has something more to him and that's great. 3) I love the angle with Foley/Flair. This aproach is very well written and i'm really into this feud, but the speech can't always be the «you're outta my life for good» and «you'll get no rematch». If so, then why the constant promos? Something there needs a little adjustment, fine tuning if you will, but otherwise it's great.4) Nitro maineventing was what i thought to be WWE making room at the top for young talent. If anything this all GAB sorry episode should teach that you HAVE to push talent despite the Hogans in the buiseness that will fight those pushes all the way. To have him get pinned was bad on many levels. Cena is not gonna get that much over for pinning somebody not on his league. At least Flair should have done it to setup a one on one match next week. I guess it's Nitro's bad for not being involved in any major feud. They can't even figure out who's the challenger for his title ![]() It's great being here. Thanks Mr Kennedy for the time and trouble you took for me. On a personal note i made third place on the weekly score, this past week on WWE Fantasy. Is anyone else into that around here? |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Missed the opening segment on both timeslots, but I caught from the Tag match on on the late showing. -I liked how Highlanders didn't get the belts yet, but sad to see the SS not broken up and even sporting a new outfit thing. -Foley is good. -Carlito is becomming more amazing each week and I love his and Sheltons matches, no matter how often we see them. -Cena tore it up in his segment, it was awesome. -Umaga did alright for Uuuuuuuumaga. -Congrats to H and Steph again for the girl. -Biggest positive of RAW this evening, and sorry Dak, but it had to be Nitro and Edge teaming up, they so suit each other, and it's nice to see Nitro main eventing period.

Rep Power: 73 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just read the reports, though won't see the show and one thing stood out for me was the first part. Shawn came out and straight face basically announced that Vince, Shane & Hunter we're all at the hospital where Steph is having her child. That, if true (and the report is on the Observer), just makes me wanna puke!! WWE has so lost what it is meant to be about and is so stuck in some stupid middle ground between kayfabe and non-kayfabe that it's fucking up so many of their storylines. I wouldn't even want to be a WWE writer at the moment. Can you imagine the discussions "okay we're setting up this hot tag match for Summerslam between DX and The McMahons, so let's just send Shawn out there to reitterate to everybody on live TV just weeks before that match that they are really just all one big happy family deep down". Even if it's not how it played out, this is something I hate about so many of the storylines, they keep wanting to tweek in a real life angle (like with Flair and Foley as well) but they won't either (a) explain to the audience, by far the majority of which still don't read the wrestling internet what is actually going on and thus let the show be completely non-kayfabe or (b) book the show old school and stop doing this sort of crap!! Okay, rant over I'm looking at a girl from whose part time here but keeps bending over and showing loads of cleavage in front of my desk. I can't think about wrestling anymore!!

Rep Power: 3 ![]() | i really liked the show i thought it had alot of good spots in it.. pros hbk in the ring was great carlito and shelton work together so well and they put on one hell of a match. cenas promo was the best thing of the show.. they guy cut like a 3 or 4 min promo and it was funny all the way through. i am a fan of the non champion cena.the main event was good but could have been better... i really like edge and nitro together...(the only way i like nitro) cons. divas contest... i know it only took like 5 min but still. candice and mikie james match sucked hbk and uuuumaga.... the ss beating the highlanders.... it thought they would win and the ss would split. |

Overall the show was a thumbs in the middle for me. Nothing great happened, but nothing too bad happened either. I was glad the Highlanders didn't win the titles so soon. They should draw this feud out a little, and they can do this with the Spirit Squad inter-changing members each week defending the titles. Maybe get a few singles wins over some of them. Umaga sure is getting a big push. A victory over Cena last week, and now dominating HBK. Looks like he's McMahons next hired hit man. Foley cut another awesome promo. I can't wait for him to be face to Face with Flair next week. Good build up to this feud, which will hopefully provide another match at Summerslam. Quote:
I did the WWE Fantasy thing last season, I forgot to sing up this time around. Congrats on being so high up in the rankings!
