<Funaki>

Why/how can he still be employeed?

Yeah sure, he's "Smackdown!'s #1 announcer" (what an honor), but in all seriousness, he's been employeed by the WWE for, I'm taking a wild guess, but what seems like at least 6-7 years, or even longer, and what has he EEEEEVER brought to the company?

It's not even that I don't like the guy, he's a good wrestler, and everyone loved the "INDEEEEEED" gimmick, but why/how is he still employeed for doing nothing while the company atomatically cuts guys like Golddust, Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, Christy Hemme, Jamie Noble, Billy Kidman (all just examples), just because they have nothing for them to do basically, and sometimes just rehire them later on when they may be needed.

My point is, after all this time, how has Funaki survived all the sudden/random roster cuts when really all he has ever done was job on HEAT or Velocity or talk while f*cking up his lips!

I think he's popular with the fans(not HUGELY popular, but decent), I know when SmackDown came here last summer he got a really good reaction from the crowd. He's not the most needed guy on SmackDown, but I like seeing him on TV.

Also, I believe that Jamie Noble asked for his release, he wasn't just let go all of a sudden.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Funaki has friends in high places on the roster. Shawn Michaels likes him a lot (and indeed used him frequently in his own promotion in Texas) and JBL is a close friend too I understand.

I think guys like him and Hardcore Holly, Scotty 2 Hotty and others pretty much have a job for life if they want it. They're one of the "boys"!!
