Rep Power: 3 ![]() | When's Smackdown Getting Some Table Scraps? I hate to admit it, but I watched Smackdown tonight. The #1 contender battle royal was a continuing reminder of how bare Smackdown's talent shelves really are. Seeing guys like Scotty 2 Hotty or the tag team champions in there towards the end made for a finish that was easy to guess. At least with the Royal Rumble, there's SOME guesswork. Which makes me wonder, when's Smackdown going to get some of Raw's table scraps? In the past month or so they've lost a ton of talent: Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, John Bradshaw Layfield, Johnny Nitro, Melina, and even Undertaker's been kept off television. Smackdown is producing house show quality programs and they are in SERIOUS need of a fresh face. The #1 choice in my eyes would be Shelton Benjamin. He's been working strong as a heel and a return to Smackdown would do nothing but good for him. A shot into the dark would be to guess that Kane would make his way over to the Smackdown roster for some type of involvement in the Khali/Taker match at GAB. Really, outside of that, who would RAW spare that isn't actively involved in some program already? |

Rep Power: 97 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I don't think they give a crap about Smackdown anymore. I'd be fine with King Booker as the premier heel and I like what's going down with his stable, but feel the real error was moving across Orton to Raw. I don't like why this happened. A feud with Hogan will be rubbish (and he'll likely lose and be damaged), his natural feud is with Batista (one that hasn't been done to death yet) and the main reason for moving him is to feud again with Hunter (which has been done to death). Plus he was back from a punishment and got promoted to the "A" show and also has been placed in too similar a position to Edge, who needs to be allowed to burst (and stay) through the glass ceiling. In short, Orton should never ever have been moved which would have solved part of the problem. | |
