Rep Power: 73 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Does Vince "spite" his own business No, not constantly (obviously) but are there times when you just think that Vince allows elements of "spite" to come into the booking of characters that could make him money? A prime example is Scott Steiner. Now, don't get me wrong...Steiner is a beaten up over roided shell of the guy he used to be. However, I've seen what he's been doing in TNA and been impressed. Oh sure, he can't wrestle too well anymore, but booked with the right opponent and the right feud he could have made money. Being booked to lose consistantly to Hunter in a World Title bout where the only way from there is down was wrong. Especially since, at the time, Hunter was in no shape to carry anyone on the roster. So money was lost. Did Vince hold some sort of grudge against Steiner, I don't know, I've not heard he did. But his booking ruined future money feuds. For example, someone like Angle at the time, would have been a much much better choice for a debut feud. I'm not talking about Steiner specifically, there are others too, where Vince has turned money feuds into nothing. The DDP stalker angle when the money there was (probably) in a feud with his old friend Stone Cold is another example.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() | We all know Vince is not the biggest fans of guys that aren't his own creation. Since RVD, Steiner, Luger, Jericho, Benoit, Goldberg, Tazz and quite a few others didn't get the love from their previous place of employ. The only times guys from the other leagues got respect seemed to be in the 80s' and early 90s where unless you read dirt sheets or Apter mags, you woudn't know guys like Mr. Perfect and Jake the Snake weren't Vince creations, with Ric Flair being the only exception, until the internet took over. Vince seems to have "little patience" when it comes to using outside talent. Its like he thinks "I'll give Steiner 6 weeks, if he's not over like Hogan, we'll bump him down." I dunno, lets ask Dusty Rhodes how Vince treated his character.

Rep Power: 55 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I do think that Vince held a grudge toward some of the wrestlers that left WWF for WCW and probably rightfully so. I think that I would hold a grudge toward someone who walked out on my company for the competition too. Put yourself in that position.
