I cant see it being Lesnar.. I think he will fizzle out within a few years. I cant see it being Orton either.. mainly because we are constantly told that he IS the future of our sport.

It's just funny because I read the Raw thoughts, and so many people say stuff like "Raw sucked because Cena is still the champion"

WHAT??? Are you that obsessed with being a Cena hater that you can't enjoy a single show during his championship reign? If you can't pinpoint something that he did that's bad, and just saying he ruined the show by still being champion, then you're just being silly.

The point of this thread was to show that just one year ago, the vast majority of people on this forum loved Cena. To his credit, while looking through these old threads, the only person who was a Cena hater from the beginning was Shining Wizard (and Cowboy Bob Orton, but he hated EVERYBODY lol). Now, I have no problem with people saying stuff like, "His heel character was great, but he's stale as a face", or "his in-ring work hasn't improved to the level that I thought it would" or other fair judgements like that. But if he's this no-talent hack that everyone says he is, how come he was so popular just one year ago? Why was he consistently getting the biggest cheers week after week on Smackdown even when he was a heel? Because of a lack in talent? I think not. Some of you may have selective memories, but I don't.

I just wanted to point this thread out, because some of Cena haters on here said some of the quotes above. And sure, some of the more vocal anti-Cena people weren't around much back then, but I'd be willing to bet that, more likely than not, they enjoyed Cena just like the 20 people listed above did.

Damn you D, you beat me to my reply. I was going to say, I have no problem with Cena, the person or performer. it's just his current run is now stale and i think it started with the let down that was the anti-climatic way he beat JBL a Mania 21.

There is no doubt he is talented, but dammit he needs his edge back.
