The life after Eddie

This is coming off someother post.

After Eddies death, there has been a lot of ''ill do this for eddie'' things. Or Eddie tributes. With Chavo doing the frog splash, ive seen Benoit and Chavo both do the three amigos. Every time all three men wrestle, there are Eddie Chants.

Rey Mysterio always talks to eddie, dedicates everything to him, he came out in eddies Lowrider in the Rumble. There is just so much Eddie tributes going around, I dont know if it will ever stop.

Im not saying remembering Eddie is wrong, I miss him and he will always be remembered. I just think they are over doing this.

What are you opinions on this matter?

I think Rey's is the worst, his day after speech looked like day one at bad acting school, and it's got me me me all over it. Chavo and Benoit, only do it sporadically. Rey's made a new career out of it.

I liked it at first, and I don't mind Benoit and Chavo doing some of Eddie's moves. The thing that I don't like are wrestlers getting pushes or rewards based on Eddie's death since it's like they are exploiting his death as part of an angle. It's the reason I was against Chavo's push and why I didn't want Rey to win the RR, I gurantte you that if Eddie was still alive that Rey wouldn't have won the RR.

I just hope they don't use this as an excuse to give Rey the title since that will be taking it too far.

I really beleive Rey will win the title at Wrestlemania. Its just the way the story is going. Doing it for eddie, and eddie helping him out.

Up to that part is co-signed from me.

With Chavo i think it's different, he took back his Guerrero name which i'm proud of, but i don't think he has been mega pushed. And even he does get pushed i don't think he'll say it's only because of Eddie.

Maybe its a sign that either: A) Eddie was going to win the rumble and nothing was set for Rey to do story line wise so they gave it to him, (I remeber him saying something in his tributes that he wanted the title again one last time) or B) They want some sortof oddball to win the title to spice it up a little, (has anyone won the Crusier Weight and WWE championship in there WWE Career?) or finally C) Rey was going to jump ship if they dident do something quick with him. (....... It could happen, I guess, Imagine a Rey vs AJ match for the X Division Title. :drowls

I dont mind it too much. But things like with the lowrider that was a little far. If he wins the title for Eddie I wont mind either. I just think they need to lay off the Eddie stuff... maybe every now and then just mention it, and Rey pointing to the sky and all that is enough.

I really doubt Rey is thinking just of himself. After all the two went through together.

I think its correct it may be being over done BUT if Rey does win the title and dedicate it to Eddie I think it would be nice for Eddies family to see that Eddie is never going to be forgotton. Still maybee it should be Chavo there and not Rey?? I really dont know but I dont see it as exploitation as much as a moving tribute to all those close to Eddie.

On last night’s edition of RAW, Triple H used Eddie’s name to create more heat in his current storyline. In the future WWE’s Creative team will be using Eddie to stimulate more heat in storylines.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Well we need to get used to it. Looks like this wont stop any time soon.

I think they are overusing Eddie a little bit. I have no problem with it, but three guys is a little much.

I don't agree with Spyke however.. I do think Rey is over enough to be taken seriously as a main event player as long as they keep him away from people like Taker who are just way too big for him. If you keep him in there with Angle or Benoit or people like that it can work. He IS over quite a bit. He never used to lose matches even when Eddie was alive, that fact can't be disputed.
