Contenders for Edge's Title

So, we all know that Cena is the number one contender for Edge's title, but with Ric Flair coming out on Monday night, where does that leave him?

Would the WWE ever think of placing the title on Flair?

Flair just doesent do it for me anymore.

I would say Angle could be in the running, but I guess not anymore..

My guess, (and this has been mentioned already) is that Edge and Cena will have a draw at the rumble, Triple H will win the Rumble, and at Mania it will be A triple threat match.

I can see Flair being Champ once again. He'd be a transitional champ beating Edge after the rumble and then going on to drop the title to his best friend at Wrestlemania, and then retiring.

I don't see it happening, but I’d rather watch Flair vs. Triple H in a Wrestlemania main event over Triple H vs. Edge.

I think Triple H vs. Edge would be great.

I remember seeing Triple H and Edge go nose to nose on eachother about 3 years ago durring a backstage segment on Smackdown! and it looked good. They wernt even fueding at the time, Im not sure why they did it but when I saw it I was like, Man, That would be a good Headline for WrestlerMania one year, and now it might happen.

Edge can work, Triple H is one of the best workers of all time, them two together would make magic:banana:

I'm not doubting that they couldn't have a good feud, but this match more than likely will be the main event of the show, and I always see the main event at mania as something 'special'. I personally don’t see Edge vs. Triple H as ‘special’

If it is Edge vs. Triple H (which it probably will be) then Edge could play off the fact that he's unbeaten at Mania and Triple H has lost the main event 2 years running.

If I had my way I'd have had Edge vs. The Undertaker cross over match at Wrestlemania. The feud being centred around the fact that neither man had been beaten at 'Mania... but Edge won the Title so there goes my hopes!

That's another factor in my eyes against these two headlining. You can't turn Edge face after he's just gone over as a heel. Triple H could well turn face, but his best work is done as a heel. So thinking about it, it'll probably be Cena vs. Triple H.

There aren't many options beyond Triple H, John Cena and at a push Ric Flair. I leave out HBK as he'll probably be in a feud with Mr McMahon.

Yeah, I said this in another thread and actually got the idea from Bulldog. I'd love to see Edge vs. Taker at Mania. You'd have Taker's long streak vs. The WWE Champion which I don't think has happend yet.

Sure taker fought Sid, but that was years ago before the actual streak started getting hyped up.

As far as Flair, I can see a situation where he wins the title, but it'd be more likely to me if it was against Triple H and then Flair retired as champion. Flair deserves to have one last time to shine..

I'm just not sure about doing it at Mania. I want to see matches we haven't seen before or matches we haven't seen in a log time.

Its gonna be Cena vs HHH WM... I'd rather Edge vs HHH but not by much... i'd rather keep HHH and Cena out of it compltely. Make it Edge vs almost anybody else and have Cena and HHH face off for the #1 contender. For Edge to face just bring someone up to deserves the push like Benjamin or even Masters hell bring Matt Hardy over from Smackdown even that'd be better then Edge or HHH vs Cena.
