I was going to be pissed if Flair bear HHH last night. Thank god he didn't. When is the last time HHH was in a "must win" match from a marks point of view? Triple H lost what seems like 40 times to Batista. He no longer has Evolution and even took himself off tv for a couple months. It was time for his ass to get handed to him and he elevated the hell out of Orton and Batista in the process. They say Triple H's only angle is getting or keeping the gold. I say, he is the cream of the crop and SHOULD always be only concerned with the top prize. No tag team belts, no stables. Nothing. There is alot more to Triple H than meets the eye I believe. I think he is proud of where his former Evolution peeps are now. But Think about it. Who else in the WWE just screams to you. That guy WANTS to be the champ? Isn't that the problem with the WWE nowadays? If everyone were going for their repsective titles and treating them like HHH does, the storylines would write themselves. Instant fueds in every division. Battle to be the next contender to the title. Why does it all seem so easy?

Rep Power: 17 ![]() | Triple H is a whiney little bitch. His whole gimmick for the past 3 years or so has been I'm the best, that belt is mine, blah blah you all know it, etc. Give it a rest, man. That's what I'd say to 3H

And if you were paying attention, you would know he hasn't done that in a while now. It is a freaking gimmick people. Get over it. I swear, it is more annoying listening to people whine about HHH than it is to listen to HHH do his gimmick. HHH complainers do it twice as much as he does (whining). if anything is old, that is.

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | The "gimmick" of being obsessed with the belt isn't a bad thing, but when it's seemingly the only aspect to a character, and that character is always either the champion or the #1 contender, it runs out of steam pretty quickly. I agree that more wrestlers should be shooting for #1. Hell, TNA doesn't really write a whole lot in the way of storylines for their World Title because they've done a good job of putting over the belt. Of course, they aren't perfect, as they have their own HHH to worry about in Jeff Jarrett. Additionally, instead of actually giving the World Title shots to the guys who have won "Contender's Matches," they seem to hotshot an angle with either a guy way out of his prime (ahem, Kevin Nash) or they seem to forget about the rankings altogether and just give a push to whomever they decide is in their good graces at the moment (ahem, Raven, ahem, Rhino). The curious thing is that they don't do that in the X-Division - it's always clear who the top contender is there. Strange... Enough TNA ramblings, though - I personally like HHH much more since Wrestlemania 20 than I did the previous couple of years (e.g. he's actually been putting people over since WM20). I remember the first time I thought of his character as title-hungry was during the McMahon-Helmsley Regime era (my personal favorite era in the past 10 years). It was entertaining then because, well, it was a new side of his character. But, that was 2000 - 4 years of that crap wore on everybody, especially when his ringwork wasn't as solid after his quad injury and his promo work stagnated. HHH being shoved down our throats then is almost as bad as WWE trying to force us to cheer for Cena now. But I digress, time heals all wounds - HHH is back, is putting on good matches without putting on 25+ minute promos every week, and is doing something other than chasing the gold. So, I say go H - you're worth watching again.

Firstly, Hunter is an awesome piece of talent. Not because he can wrestle a technical match like Bret or do moonsaults. Because he brings a level of intensity and believability to his performance and his promos that make him a man worth watching.....maybe even still. The only problem I ever had with Hunter was the same one I have for a lot of WWE's woes. The "creative" team. Obviously though Hunter's woes with creative are an opposite to most other characters. Hunter was simply massively over exposed as the star of the show. Sure this happened to Hogan and many others over the year, but not with being on two hours of live TV a week and virtually a PPV a month. Hunter's six years on top are virtually the eqivalent of about 15 years on top in that era, in terms of feuds and TV time. I'm glad he took the time off, but am sad that he has come back with the exact same character. This was a real opportunity to completely refresh his WWE persona.....but sadly he came out and turned heel within ten minutes of his first match back on Raw.....that could barely be labelled a tease of a face turn. He comes out to the same music and in the same manner, so my problem with Hunter (creatively) is that an excellent opportunity to re-establish himself as the must see talent on Raw was yet another of the opportunities to do something creative, that creative dropped.
