How do you feel about steroid use?

Ida. Plain and simple. Steriods are ILLEGAL. Thus they shouldnt be permitted.

Steroids are often abused......actually anyone that takes steroids that doesnt "need" them is abusing. I understand that other drugs and or booze come into play most of the time in these wrestlers deaths but the steroids is something that can be controlled. So he should control it.

Here are some fun things that happen to a majority of people that take steroids. (Yes, I know LOTS of people who have and or are using steroids fyi)

Anabolic steroids cause many different types of problems. Less serious side effects include acne, purple or red spots on the body, swelling of legs and feet, persistent bad breath, and less commonly jaundice, or yellowing of the skin. Other side effects are:


premature balding
dizziness
mood swings, including anger, aggression, and depression
nausea
vomiting
trembling
high blood pressure that can damage the heart or blood vessels
aching joints
greater chance of injuring muscles
liver damage
shortening of final adult height

Also, this thread is about steroid use. Not everything else these guys may or may not be taking.



On a side note, I realize that these guys feel professionally challenged as well as professional athletes so I understand the pressures of steroids and the need to try to get ahead or stay ahead, but people that take roids and dont have any real reason to well that just seems absurd to me.

Why would a person want to risk all those things just to get temporarily jacked? Is it low self esteem?

So you arguement is based up side effects and that it is ILLEGAL. It is well known that Rob Van Dam smokes weed. It is also well known that wrestlers have been taking steriods since they have been around. You also agree other drugs and or booze come into play most of the time in these wrestlers deaths.

I don't understand what the aguement here is then. Yes they are ILLEGAL. Is that suppose to be something new? WWE is starting to test for steriod use and if they test positive, they will pay the price just like with any other drug.


I doubt it will stop them from using them.

And incase you forget, we already had a debate about steriods and I am well knowleged in their affects and purposes.

OK, here's the thing about Lyle Alzado that nobody talks about. Alzado didn't die from steroids, he died from a brain tumor. Before his death, Alzado did a bunch of interviews claiming the tumor was caused by steroids but there was never any evidence to suggest that to be the case.

Don't take this as an attack, Simon. I just wanted to clarify this for others out there.
