I went Sting and Hogan. I was never a big fan of Sting, and have always hated Hogan, but that feud was awesome and fans were absolutely desperate to see them face off. Yeah WCW then dropped the ball with it big style, but a feud built with the guys not fighting at all over the course of nearly a year was perfect and Sting's new Crow character fitted the bill just right.
That match is classic WCW ineptness. Hogan spends 18 mos running from Sting, finally has to get in the ring with him, and....... kicks his ass. The booking alone was stupid, any heat Hogan should have had should have been cheat moves to escape Sting, low blow, eye gouge, etc. This was not an angle where the babyface was the underdog, and had to have a big comeback, Sting should have just wiped the floor with him and won, thats what the fans wanted. But no, Hogan had most offense in the match, and then the god awful not so fast count. Hogan hits the boot, drops the no hip leg drop, and pins Sting, middle of the ring, 1..2..3. The slowest fast count ever.
It was suppossed to be a fast count from NWO ref Nick Patrick, which was anything but fast, in turn making Bret Hart look like a retard by calling it a fast count and restarting a match that ended legitimitley. It sucked the life out of the crowd and had most of them wondering what happened, since 90% of Harts fast count announcement missed the mic. So in one move, WCW kept their 48 year old, hurt, overpaid star on top, nuked the credibility of the biggest free agent ever in Hart, and made WCW's big savior look like every other chump in history to fall to the 3 moves of doom, except it was 2 moves. So sad. I liked WCW till about this time.
I voted for Angle-Rock, but after thinking about it I change my mind and choose Sting-Hogan(keep that in mind in case their is a tie). They may have screwed it up in the end but 1+ year long period of Sting hanging in the rafters before returning at Starcade '97 was great even if it was ruined by Sting actually losing the match before Bret Hart came out and restarted it.

I like Sting v Hogan. That feud was at the time the most important feud for WCW and Sting went into his black crow, and Hogan was running with the N.W.O . WcW needed this match to happen, and it lived up to what it was at Starcade.
